[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because my kid loves gems. He is a bit older, but he still likes to use gems in his artwork. I thought this would be a fun way to make him work for them. He made a video review using it. I was able to capture some photos for use here. He enjoyed the activity and the gems he received from it. I would buy this for some of his cousins. I think they would really enjoy this type of activity as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my my Toy Excavation Kit Mini Fossil and I was very impressed with how natural the rocks appeared. When he opened the rock we were surprised with the fossils inside. Their appearance was very realistic and looked like authentic fossils. I would recommend this for a child interested in nature and exploration.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Discovery Mindblown - Toy Excavation Gem Mining Kit is so awesome. My daughter and I had fun digging as you find the treasures hid in the block. It took a little work but it was so worth it. We found 7 gems as we dug through. Very interesting and educational. I'd definitely recommend trying this project with your kids or if you like gems, buying one for yourself. Very satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ON MY EXCAVATION I GOT 10 ROCK PODS. I BROKE THE ROCKS WITH A HAMMER. INSIDE OF THE ROCKS WERE ALMOST TRANSPARENT GEMS IN ALL THE ROCKS. VERY NICE TO LOOK AT AND DISPLAY. YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT TIME BREAKING ROCKS OPEN AND FINDING THE GEMS THANK YOU, VERY MUCH!

She got a kick out of excavating the fossils from this kit. It came with all of the tools she needed to find out what surprises were to be found!

In other toys like this that I've seen, they come with a plastic "fossil" that you can dig out but this one was awesome and came with genuine fossils! My kid loved it and my family had a great time unearthing the fossils fun the stone. Lots of fun!

it was fun to do, i got 10 really pretty crystals. would definently buy again.

My kid really enjoyed digging for the stones but there isn't very many stones so he was really upset. For it being a Discovery Product i was very disappointed that there was so little compared to the product photos. Defiantly wont buy this product again. It was the worst Discovery Item i have Purchased so far..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter really enjoyed trying to find find the shark teeth but it was a little harder then we expected it to be and we had to basically find the teeth for her.bOn the plus side she had a extra shark tooth in hers!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a fun activity for me and my 2 children, ages 7 and 9. I thought this would be great because the box says 3 surprizes inside, which lead me to believe we would find 3 thing total in the clay rock. We let my youngest go first and he picked a lucky spot and ended up finding a gem stone right away. Next it was my daughter's turn and after over an hour of scraping away we figured out that the gem stone was the only thing in there. I'm unsure if the company is counting the clay and chisel as 2 of the surprises but I would have like them to better indicate that. Other than the disappointment of a child it was kind of fun.
