[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the Geode kit & thoroughly enjoyed it. It came with the Geode rocks, protective eyewear & a magnifying glass to look at your treasures up close. Most of the rocks were very easy to break with a hammer between 2 pieces of cardboard. A few required some real muscle to get them to break. In fact, we have one that we have yet to crack open. This is a great kit to expose your kiddo's to the fun of rocks & geodes. Wonderful gift idea!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This excavation toy kit was so cool! I have never seen anything like this and it was a fun rainy day activity! It is very well made and comes with all the tools to make the extractions. This is definitely for older kids--kindergarten and up. It was so cool to see my kids faces when they found a treasure. I will definitely buy the other excavation kits for future rainy/bored days!

The kit also includes a chisel to allow for excavation and a Brain Blast educational poster with fun science facts and experiments to follow. My son's dream is to be a scientist, This kit makes his dream almost true Such a great learning experience and good quality kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a gift for my nephew and he enjoyed it very much. Watching cartoons/movies that have fossils, pirates, and adventure and then being able to somewhat replicate it is so cool and exciting for him.

My kid really enjoyed digging for the stones but there isn't very many stones so he was really upset. For it being a Discovery Product i was very disappointed that there was so little compared to the product photos. Defiantly wont buy this product again. It was the worst Discovery Item i have Purchased so far..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had fun with this Discovery mini excavation kit. It came with two rocks to dig your gems out of and a poster with some fun information and facts on it. My issues with it are that it makes a huge mess and while they provide a chisel, there is nothing else to use. We ended up having to find something else to use with the chisel. Once we did that we were able to start! The only downfall is that it creates so much dust and "dirt" everywhere. We did place paper under it as recommended but it didn't help any. We got about 20 minutes of entertainment out of this. The gems that we dug out are very tiny and there is no guide provided to help you figure out what gemstone you got. Overall, it was ok. I had a big mess to clean up after though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was fun to do but I was disappointed with the results. All of the geodes were pretty small and they were all the same color, white. I was hoping to get some pretty colored stones for my reptile tank.
