Size Up If Needing to Layer for Halloween Weather
My son loved this! My son is a size 6/7, and we got him the 7/8. I will say this ran a bit on the small side if you are a true size 8. Since he is smaller, it was easy to put layers under it to keep him warm for our Halloween weather. The yellow buttons are plastic and sewn on. But they aren't very secure, so if you can reinforce them I would.

Cute just defected
I did like the costume just that it came ripped from the collar and the area where it's filled with cotton to form the belly is all over the place and doesn't look like a belly just looks all over the place. I am in contact with the seller and they are willing to start a return. I will get it again it's still cute just this one was defected.

Material came unstitched
I got this for my grandson's 8th birthday. He absolutely loved it but within 12 days the material started coming unstitched. I bought the costume and didn't mind paying the $49.99 for the costume but really thought the quality would be better.
