Disney and Pixar Lightyear Hyperspeed Series Zyclops & Pods

My son found the Disney Pixar LightYear Zurg Mothership Hyperspeed Series used at a thrift store, missing the drop pods. These replacement pods are as advertised and arrived promptly. One pod has a button on the bottom and opens when dropped. The other pod has a “worn paint” look to it, as if damaged and needs to be pried open. My son loves both types.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The figures are the perfect size for little hands unlike some figurines that toddlers might have a hard time running around with as mine does. They are very sturdy and easy for little hands to hold. The attention to detail is impressive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My seven year old son LOVES these. He's excited about the movie more so now than before he played with the set. He received the buzz toy and the two pods with characters in them. He and his friend played with them for hours.

The boys loved dropping the pods on the ground to open. The other pod had to be opened by hand. They loved putting the Zyclops in the pods. Well made and recommend for children 5 and older.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cool action figure, but the product is a bit flimsy. The Zyclops are small and hard to play with, and easily get lost. Details of the pods are great. My little ones use these pods to fly around the living room and act like they're outer space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are super cute and my son was excited to play with them! One of them is “new” and will open when you drop it on the floor, which it cool. Sometimes one of the sides stays up. The other is “old” and has scratches and does not open on it's own when dropped. We haven't seen the movie yet to know if there's a reason one is broken, but it would have been nice if they both had this cool opening feature. And they still could have a new and old look to them.

Buzz Lightyear seems to be the one who knows, and my sons had a number of entertaining afternoons using these the pods to transform their room into a space adventure! It took a minute for them to understand how these pods work, as they operate different from each other, and at the moment since they did not see the movie, there wasn't any "context for play". Aside from that, they had a great time with Zyclops and Pods!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old boy was excited about this toy, and it did keep his attention for a bit. But I haven't seen him play with it since. It has two figures and two pods. You close the figures in the pods and when you drop them the pods open to reveal the figures. I didn't think they were very exciting.

He is not a big lightyear fan, so he didn't understand why the zyclops did not have heads! He was intrigued with the pod and putting the zyclop in it. However, he lost many of the pieces in our house. It would be nice if this cam with a case to keep all the parts together.
