Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Mulan Doll

Mulan has always been one of my favorite Disney characters, as she was not waiting on her prince to come save her. Her dress with this doll is also relatively modest and not flashy, so I figure this day in age, she might be a good feminist role model for my little cousin. I gave this to her and she loved it, so that made me feel better giving it to her as a gift. Aside from what she represents, the doll itself is solid. Wish it did come with a few accessories or outfits though. Otherwise, it was good to add to her collection of toys. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

With the upcoming production of the new Mulan movie portrayed by real human actors, I had to get this toy for my niece! I'm so glad she has a doll to play with now that looks just like her! I love this Mulan doll. It's been very hard to find a Mulan doll and I was so happy that it was available. It's very pretty and actually looks better than the picture. The dress is really shimmery and colorful. The pattern is a lot more intricate than normal Disney costumes. The hair is long and luscious. The shoes are removable but they also stay on pretty well. This Hasbro doll is very durable and I don't expect it to break anytime soon. Cute collection I would recommend collecting for the younger set. Daughter loved this on Christmas. Milan is so pretty in this colorful dress. My girls liked it being different than her usual pink dress.

At first glance, you would not be able to tell this was Mulan solely based on the face. They definitely look different. However, as a doll, it does have all its functions: able to sit, move arms and legs. The head of this Mulan doll can turn all the way around from side to side and can slightly tilt up and down. Its very dark black hair reaches all the way past the knee cap. The hair is very long so you can comb and braid it; it is held together with a black rubber band. The hair feels very thick and somewhat real. The doll's dress is different than the original Mulan character's dress, but the colors are similar and it has a nice asian design to it with some branches and flowers. There is some glittery material on the top and sleeves of the dress, which with some rubbing does minimally come off. The dress is kept on by a strip of Velcro on the back and it allows you to easily exchange clothes. The material is on a tougher side.
