Dixie Everyday Paper Plates, 8.5", 110 count

The Dixie everyday paper plates are excellent for a paper product. I used them in the microwave and found that they held up as good as a china plate. No melting, etc. from the heat. I also cut up some fruit in the plate and it really is cut resistant, I saw no cuts in the plate and the juice from the fruit did not soak through or leak. They are so sturdy, I did not worry about the plate folding up with me when I put the food on it. Besides, the design is so pretty, you can use them for more than just everyday! This is the only kind I will buy from now on!

You won't find a more durable disposable plate. Trust me, I know because I hate washing dishes. Whenever it's my day to do dishes, I break out these plates. Use them then toss in the trash. I've tried various disposable plates in the past with mixed results but these are the best if you want sturdy plates that will not leak even with slow eaters. Great for meals, sandwiches, chips n dips and lots of other food and snacks. A must have for those extra kids on the block that show up at meal time. These plates can handle just about anything you put on them.I haven't had one give out on me yet. The ONLY negative thing I can say is with all disposable plates I've ever used is they sometimes stick together so you might think you are getting one plate but instead it may be two or three stuck together.

I love Dixie Paper Plates. There are so many good things about these, I don't even know where to begin. I’ll start with the size. The 8.5" is perfect. They keep me from overeating, and they make everyone feel as if they have overloaded their plates. Dixies are strong and you can use them in the microwave. Best of all, you don't burn your hands, nor do the plates droop or spill. The value of the 110 count is beyond great. I can't even imagine how much money I've saved on dishwasher soap. I'd guess, I've saved enough to pay for the paper plates at the very least. In fact, at the cost of dishwasher soap, I’ve probably saved more than that. Free plates and save money? Wow, it does not get much better than that. Then there’s the best part of all. No dishes! Just toss the used plates in the trash. But there is another thing that most people don’t even think about. Leftovers. Use as many Dixie Plates as you need. Food fits very nicely in the 8.5” and you can slip the filled plate into a large baggy and seal it. You can always see what’s in them, and the food stays fresh.

These plates are so good for many reasons. First they are tough and do not buckle. Then the size is just perfect for portion control if you need more space than this you got a problem. Finally the amount of plates you get is amazing, so nice to serve people real quick and then send them on their way. No mess and a very easy clean up for you.

These are great. I love being able to use them instead of regular dishes. I tried the larger ones but they seemed like a waste for just a sandwich or some pop corn. This is the perfect size. In fact I also have the 10 oz bowls and I use them a lot as well for things like ice cream, oatmeal and side dishes. If you want a whole can of Chunky soup, you need the larger sizes but the 10 oz work great for most things. They are very strong. I have filled these plates with pasta and sauce and not had a problem. They are also good for the microwave. I highly recommend them.

I am very impressed with the Dixie Everyday Paper Plates. I have tried other brands and found them to be very disappointing in quality, the other brands seem to always soak through when using things like ketchup, syrup and other liquid sauces and condiments. The quality of the Dixie Everyday Paper Plates is unsurpassed, I used them for pancakes with syrup and even after eating the syrup had still not soaked into the plate. I put ketchup on one of the Dixie plates for dipping french fries and the ketchup did not soak into the plate in any way. By far the best paper plate I have ever used. We use a lot of paper plates and have tried many brands. I was very pleased with the Dixie Everyday Paper Plates. They are pretty and some can be coordinated with your color scheme. The best thing about them is that they are strong and hold up with out collapsing. Also when we used a steak knife on the plate there was not a piece of the paper plate torn or on the knife, which has happened many times with other brands. These are strong and durable for everyday use as the label states. While these plates are great for everyday use, I would look for a larger circumference plate for a BBQ or picnic or party. The plates are about as wide as a piece of standard copy paper and as long, so I don't think they are quite big enough for a BBQ, picnic or party unless they are used as a side dish or appetizer plate.

I normally purchase walmarts brand foam plates 170 count for less than four dollars (averaging 2 cents a plate). I received these Dixie plates through Walmart spark review program. I have to admit I am very impressed!!! I cut a steak on one to 'try it out' and you could barely see the cut marks on top of the plate and cannot see them at all on the bottom. They are not flimsy at all! My husband used one of these plates to chop an onion up and after he was finished I 'inspected' the plate for the 'cut marks', and I could barely see them on the top of the plate!! You can fill the plate up and hold it with one hand and it bately bends. We used these plates in the microwave & they did not 'melt' or warp. I looked these plates up on Walmart website and they are a little less than five dollars for 110 count. (averaging four cents a plate, which is double what I normally pay for my foam plates) I have three children ages five and younger, they did very well with these plates they never spilled them, I believe the curved edges around the side were a big advantage for that. I am VERY inpressed!! I will definitely be purchasing these in the future!! Even though they are double what I normally pay for my 'paper plates' I am amazed how they hold up to a knife & my children!!

These are very good quality plates to keep in the kitchen. Very sturdy. They are deep enough to hold plenty of food safely without collapsing. There is a semi-gloss finish to keep foods from soaking through the plate. Nice pattern on the front of the plate. I would rate these plates a 10 out of 10. Good product to keep in the kitchen!

The Dixie Everyday Paper Plates, size 8.5'', 110 count, work very well for my family's needs! I use at least one plate daily in order to separate foods being cut or heated up or eaten on the side. Depending on what food has been on the plate, I can even wipe off any residue and reuse the same plate more than once. However, if the plate has been in the microwave, I do not reuse it. The plates often become soggy and limp when heated in the microwave oven more than 30 seconds or so. When that happens I usually add a second plate underneath in order to provide support and stability to the top plate. The plates have a soak proof shield, and do not leak through, but the paper does become moist the longer it is heated. Most of the plate is white, with only a small amount of color graphics on the edges, and very little on the flat part of the plate itself. The plates are also called cut resistant, but I rarely use very sharp knives. A butter knife is usually sufficient for my needs. I buy the biggest pack possible in the store as that is often the most budget friendly. This size of plate at 8.5 inches is perfect for my 6 and 8 year olds to have a complete meal. My husband is more likely to need 2 plates for his full meal. Considering it is just a paper plate, it is one of the most handy and convenient kitchen necessities I use! It makes preparing and serving meals so much easier!
