Dixie Individually Wrapped Polystyrene Cutlery, Teaspoons, White, 1,000/Carton -DXETM23C7

I purchase these spoons (and the forks & knives as well) on a regular basis for covered dish meals at our church. They hold up just fine for hot or cold food and are reliably sturdy. The teaspoons are a bit small for adults for soup. They are a bit short, but that is typical across the board. While they 'look' lighter than the fancier black or silver colored cutlery, they are just as good, because the more expensive ones are 'hollow' (weak) on the back side of all the handles and the fork tines. There seem to be very few, if any, sharp edges on any of the cutlery.

Very sturdy and holds up. My Office likes this brand and spoons, forks and knives very much. I have bought them for many years.

These spoons provide a piece of mind and a way to eat soup. Very sturdy, would spoon again!

PD plasticware

I went out on a limb and purchased these for a family vacation thinking that younger kids (<10) are hard on spoons (particularly when eating ice cream) and I didn't want to have to replace the spoon or even the plate/bowl of food when a lower quality spoon broke. We have used these spoons annually for 4 family vacations now (plus some daily uses) and we have NEVER had one break. We would even occasionally use one of these spoons to scoop ice cream straight from the carton and it would do OK, but I wouldn't recommend it all the time. We used this product with the Dixie Ultra paper bowls and never had one of those fail either. I believe the quality of the spoon is extremely high, having no complaints whatsoever of its strength. If I had to find a negative (other than it being double the price of its medium weight counterpart), the only thing I can think of is that the curvature of the spoon doesn't fit the roof of my mouth as comfortable as I would like, but I believe that if you changed this it would effect the overall strength of the spoon. This is not a reason to not purchase this item though. I would highly recommend this spoon for heavier jobs (like ice cream) but it is overkill for soup, cereal, or other lighter consistency items.

These are too deep to properly "clean" them as you take a bite. Not comfortable at all.
