Walmart has the hard-to-find!
I'm so glad to have found these online at Walmart! The variegated flosses by DMC are getting harder and harder to find. These were exactly what I needed. Thinking of getting some of the other sets, too!

3 generations embroidered quilt
Haven't started to use thread, but have used the same for years on other projects. Daughter has a quilt that myself, grandmother and her embroidered back in the 50's and 60's. She has hanging on a wall quilt rack now.
