I bought this brace to replace one that I got directly after back fusion surgery. I have bought 2 others which I thought inferior as they did not have enough support. This brace is a good one if you are using it as a "reminder" to guard your back and be careful. It is quite supportive. I bought the small and it says it goes to a 36 inch waist? No way. I am a small woman but the small is plenty tight on me. I could not tolerate anything tighter. I am 5' tall and weigh 110 pounds. That said my weight is in my abdomen. I would recommend this brace for anyone looking for a supportive over-the-counter brace that runs tall on the torso and has enough give that you can still breathe and move about. Compared to what I normally have to wear I am super comfortable! I am usually wearing a rigid TLSO (a full rigid brace from my hips to almost my neck). I am online now to buy a second one of the braces. Good luck to all with back woes!

As pictured, small is really small. If you measure at the top end, order next size. Sturdy, stretchy, good, strong velcro.

It is just what I was hoping to receive. It gives a much needed back support.

The brace is adjustable and does provide for some adjustable support. However, for my broken back situation it only provides limited support, then I have to remove it after about 2 hours. That is the reason for my 3 star rating.
