Your going to need a ladder to reach top if door . A step stool will work or a string chair Once you figure it out you will be ok If your weak or unstable you will need help m After installed out water in bag and you sit in chair Try little water at first and fill to what is helpful sit comfortably . Try 15 minutes at a time

Decompresses the spine

Michael July 28, 2025

I had one of these given me long ago by a orthopedic doctor after a car wreck. I was happy to see they are still available , inexpensively. This time it's for vertical compression from sitting too much at a desk. Do not fill the bag up right off. I was told by the doc, 8-12 pounds to start. It definitely decompresses the spine - don't overdo it.

Caused 4 STITCHES

Erin October 6, 2025

First use I put in the harness which is far too small, I don't have a big face or head I'm fairly fit and thin, seeing it's sized for a child, however in addition to the uncomfortable harness which gave me a friction burn, the spreader hat snapped in half and cut deep into my scalp causing me to get 4 stitches. The spreader bar is made of aluminum and it bent like butter, the shoe lace that's meant to hold the harness and bag will cut your hand when trying to lift it with weight. Don't buy This

Do Not Buy this item

kathleen July 4, 2021

The harness is not manufactured correctly. The harness straps are too short for adult size heads. We are using the harness from an older traction device which is 20 years old, our only option since we lack the plastic bag that holds the water in pounds. That bag has an awful odor which I'm struggling (unsuccessfully so far) to remove. May have to use it in the garage or outdoors, Overall poor to nonexistent quality control by manufacturer.
