DMT GLIDE-Pro Z Multi-Angle Knife Sharpener With Tungsten Steel and Ceramic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tool is my new favorite. The amount of items this tool can sharpen are endless. It even has screwdriver tips on it. I do a lot of work outside with machetes, axes, and knives so will be storing this in my truck console for sure.

Its versatility is a major plus, featuring two different pull-through V-sharpeners with 20- and 30-degree angles, as well as flat sharpening surfaces. This makes it a great tool for a wide variety of blades and edges, from kitchen knives to axes and gardening shears. This sharpener is both compact and lightweight, so you can easily carry it in your pocket or a knife roll. The built-in flathead and Phillips head screwdrivers are a handy bonus that adds to its value as a multi-tool.

I thought it was an innovative and novel approach to something that is usually more function over form. I used it for a variety of pocket knives, kitchen knives and other blades and it worked well for all of them.

A sharp knife is a safe knife, and this made it easy to sharpen a dozen knives in less than 30 minutes. This handled a variety of common blade steel types often found in budget to high-end kitchen knives. It also sharpened up a victorinox Swiss Army knife and a handful of old buck knives.

It has multiple angle options to get a sharp edge on different types of knives, a Phillips head and slotted screwwdriver, as well as 2 different grits of flat ceramic sharpening stones. I especially love the contoured shape of the body as it makes it easy to get a firm grip while sharpening a knife. This is a well thought out sharpener at an attractive price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DMT Glide Pro-Z sharpener is a handy portable tool to sharpen many tools around the house. It's an intriguing tool to look at and figure out what one might sharpen with it. This sharpener has both coarse and fine stones but also grooves for sharpening machetes and knives. While I don't have a machete, I do have knives, kitchen shears, and even tried a lawn mower blade and a barbecue grease spatula scraper. The DMT Edgesharp certainly works, although it works best on smaller blades. A 5" utility knife sharpens well with this tool, and the knife picked up a better edge quickly. Since one end of the DMT Edgesharp says machete, I decided to try a lawn mower blade. That was a little bit awkward, but usable. The Edgesharp is convenient but probably not the best tool for a lawn mower blade, especially since I have a grinder which will sharpen the blade more easily. However, smaller tools sharpen well, such as a putty knife and a pair of kitchen shears. I like the tool. The Edgesharp has a small hole at one end to attach a lanyard or a string, which is nice if you want to carry it around with you outside. A Phillips head screwdriver and a standard head screwdriver are at opposite ends of this nice tool, which is small enough to carry around in one's pocket if you don't want to use a lanyard. Certainly, this tool is recommended to use around the home and in the garden, Sharpening has never been so easy.
