The pool cover was outstanding! Great craftsmanship! The other item that I ordered! The water weight bags, for the pool cover were extremely disappointing! 4 out of the 6 bags leaked! What a shame! Excellent pool cover, nothing to hold it in place with!
Looks like a good product. I use the supplying company for many pool supplies, and they have quality products. I actually bought this for next year, since my old cover, which has served me well, will be replaced after this winter. You never get the full time on these, but the low price means easily replacement while still probably useable; but it gets harder to keep clean after the season when kept too long. Plus, I'm sure it will be more expensive next year.
It is definitely lighter for my wife and I to handle than our regular cover. The size does require the pillows to put underneath it. If you want to cover to be off of the water currently we have to cover laying on our water. We have to win the cold environment below the skimmer. We bought it was so we didn't have to pump off the water off the tarp in the spring and then fill the pull back up. Time hotel works for us. We'll talk to you in the spring.
This is the third time we've made a purchase from you and we are never disappointed. Quality products and great customer service.
This is the second time I have purchased the same cover. It holds up well. and does what it is supoosed to do. I use it kind of differently as my deck comes up and over the top rail of hte pool walls. So I cannot bring the cover down the sides and cinch it down. I simply screw it down to my deck and unscrew it in the spring when time to open it up. but yes, I will buy another when this one wears out. Iast one lasted me 5 yrs.
We ordered what was the correct size for our pool. However, we should (maybe)have gone up one side as the overhang on the edge gets very short if the water level drops inside the pool... Dougherty's did not make a mistake, WE DID. WE based out order size on the rainfall we expected. It currently exceeds that frequently, making us siphon to a lower level to stay ahead of the rising levels. Bigger would have been better.
This is my 3rd mesh cover and have been happy with their performance. I have averaged 2.5 seasons per cover and given the price, not bad. Better than solid covers that hold water and tear. My concern is sizing. I encourage using actual outside measurements of your pool to determime cover size, not the advertising size.
we have had covers in past that were 20/40. that's what we ordered but it was nowhere near that size. My husband made it work but don't like how it fits. if it hadn't been ready to cover, would have sent it back. Must have been missed!!!!
Hard to say at this point. I put it on 2 weeks ago and this is the first pool cover I have tried. I brought a leaf cover too. I'll make an amendment in the spring. I will say that many of the water bags leaked which was disappointing but I called customer support after a week so in order to assess how many failures I had and they promptly sent out replacements for the leaky bags no questions asked. I'll give customer service 5 stars.
It was a cheap cover, but it is so porous, 2 days after I put the pump on the cover it was totally submersed in water that only could have come through the cover. That seems to me to be unacceptable!
