Dolly Parton - Pure & Simple (2xCD) VG

This was the perfect gift for my husband, who is a HUGE Dolly Parton fan. Getting her new CD with an exclusive bonus made this even more special. The price was great, the CD sounds amazing and picking it up at the store was a breeze, "Pure and Simple" this was a great deal all the way around.

The CD is great. The music is awesome. I think any Dolly Parton fan would love to add this their collection.

If you are a Dolly fan you will automatically live this CD. If you are not & thinking of exploring Dollys work, this would be a great purchase because you will get her latest recordings as well as a CD of some of her most lived recordings.

Pure & Simple is classic Dolly all the way. music is simple- her vocals are strong and clear. The cd contains all love songs...three remakes:Tomorrow Is Forever, Say Forever You'll Be Mine and Can't Be That Wrong (called "god wont get you" from rhinestone soundtrack) those are solid tracks , but the standouts include the title track, Head Over High Heels, Outside Your Door and Kiss It(And Make It All Better). one clunker on the cd is "I'm Sixteen" fast paced song about feeling 16 again....catchy song..yet corny as well. overall this is a great down home solid country cd from Dolly.

Dolly is pure genius, both in singing and songwriting. However, 3 Walmart locations in my area did not have this item in stock on its release date or thereafter, even though they had advertising in the store. I ended up ordering it online. This was common throughout the country. Dolly should think twice before working with Walmart again. The only reason I purchased it here was the bonus CD.

Good songs on disc 1, loved the hits on disc 2. I could listen to her for hours. Beautiful voice and wonderful lyrics.

This was not too different from her other songs. She still has that sweet, little girl voice.

I should have been able to pick it up in the store on the release date when ordered online and had it in my hand on the release date! The music is Great - ordering it sucked!
