“Run Rose Run” is a great story by two very talented and prolific writers. The book contains the lyrics of the tunes Dolly Parton wrote for each of the singers in the book (and she and others recorded) for the storyline. You'll love the novel cowritten by James Patterson and Dolly, be sorry when it's over, and then you'll want to get the song CD to enjoy too!

Great songs and music!
Dolly Parton's music is vintage Dolly Parton. Songs were well-written, and the music was great. Some of the songs were like short stories, and they were great.

Great book and CD
I bought this for my aunt, who loves the old-time country stars. She loves to read and listen to their music. She is getting on in years and especially loves the old Western movies. I buy what I can for her to give her something to do. She keeps me updated on the progress of her books, and it makes me happy to hear she is enjoying them. She is in Texas, and I live in Florida, so being able to send her small things to make her happy is a great feeling. I buy groceries for her and have her meds delivered. Thank goodness for Walmart and Amazon. They make life much easier for all of us.

Bought As Gift, Disappointed With Condition
I bought this as a gift, so I have not personally listened to it. I am disappointed in the condition that I received it, as when it arrived the case was cracked in several places. Hopefully the disc inside is not.
