Dolly Parton's Country Fried Steak With Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, With Bacon, 12 oz. (frozen)

These are good enough to fill your belly. If you want an enjoyable meal experience, this isn’t it. It wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t good. My biggest hang up is the texture of the meat… it was so rubbery and the breading came off immediately. The mashed potatoes were okay and the green beans were good but were dry.

So I've tried 2 other Dolly frozen meals and this was my least favorite. I thought that I would enjoy it but it was so underwhelming. You would have to add some black pepper and salt to it. I've had better frozen country fried steaks than this for sure. The green beans did have bacon pieces and tasted good. Wish there were more of them. I wouldn't purchase this one again.

Meat resembled shoe leather. Potatoes %26 gravy were a liquid mush. We ate the dinners, but they were a complete waste of money. I might add that the cooking directions seemed wrong for today's microwaves. I even reduced the heat to "9" and shortened cooking time. I truthfully can't recommend anything about these meals.

I don’t think Dolly tried these meals before she approved of them. The green beans are undercooked. The steak was so hard I couldn’t cut it with my fork. The breading came of immediately, it sat on the chewy green beans. The mashed potatoes were such a small portion it didn’t fill the compartment. The potatoes looked dirty with small specs that weren’t pepper. This went into the trash.

Please do not waste your money on this. I don't know what kind of meat was used to replicate "steak," but it was unrecognizable in texture, quality, and taste. It's absolutely horrific. They need to offer a complimentary chainsaw with every purchase just so you can cut it. I wouldn't feed it to a stray cat. Bought two; threw the second one away unopened, and I HATE wasting food, but this isn't edible.

You really don't expect the product to really look the same as the cover, but I thought that I would enjoy this dinner more. The steak was very tough, the potatoes were not as fluffy as other microwave dinners and the green beans were not that great. In fact, none of it was tasty. Maybe just a fluke, but will try the other dinners by Dolly to make a determination.

i saw bad reviews but thought dolly wouldnt put her name on a bad product. I was wrong. this is anything but comfort food. the meat isctasteless %26 tough. the potatoes have no flavor. the beans werent that bad but overall...youll be in discomfort tryng to cut %26 chew the meat.

The film came off easily. Meat was tough, yet rubbery. Breading and gravy congealed together to make a tasteless mess. Potatoes? Really? Beans were a bit tough also and bland. Someone should make Dolly eat one of these, if she can. My feral cats and the local skunk like it.

Dolly should be ashamed to have her name on this box. There was absolutely no bacon bits on the green beans. It might’ve helped the horrible flavor of the green beans. The green beans tasted fake. The meat had no gravy and was disgusting. The only halfway decent part of this little meal was the potatoes and there was nothing spectacular about them either. Steer clear of this little meal.

Dolly should stick to singing because she sure doesn't know how to serve country fried steak. I mean seriously how do you ruin mashed potatoes. the potatoes were awful. The country fried steak itself was tough, it's supposed to be smothered in southern gravy but there was maybe a teaspoon full all mixed in with the beans that were mushy cuz they were soaking in that teaspoon of gravy. Thank goodness Dolly Parton can sing cuz she sure doesn't know how to serve a meal
