Dometic CFX3 45 Powered Cooler - 46L

Quiet. Cools down extremely quickly. Maintains set temperature very precisely. Runs on my Jackery 1000 power source for multiple days. Rugged build quality. About the same weight as a similar size premium rotomolded ice chest, but you don't give up half your useable volume to ice. Suits my needs perfectly.

Replaced a Massimo cooler. Much require to use space and he'll temperature well when left inside the car here in socal. Power drain pretty low

Physically a little heavy but hopefully that is a sign of its durability. Extremely quite operation. The unit is electrically efficient as well. I hope it remains reliable over time.

I had to return the first one I purchased, but now that I have a good functioning cooler, I almost feel like I should have gotten one bigger... haha. It's great.

Exactly what we needed to supplement our smaller refrigerator in our Sprinter. Kept items colder than expected with very little electrical draw on system.

I have been using roto-molded coolers for several years now however I always hated worrying if my ice will last and if everything in my cooler is going to be floating in water after a few days. With the CFX3 45 and the PLB40 I am able to power the fridge for days and keep everything at the perfect temperature. On my last campout I turned the temperature down to keep stuff frozen and was able to surprise my buddies with ice cream after a few days in the backcountry. I am not even considering going back to a standard cooler.

Great cooler. Easy on the power consumption. Love being able to remove lid easily for cleaning. Needs work on the lid. You have to push on it to ensure it locks close. Once you have that habit formed it not a huge deal. But at this price point I don't expect to have to do it.

Have used it a couple times and has worked great. Minimal battery pull and noise. Lightweight compared to others its size. Wish it would have a bit more robust closing mechanism.

The day the cooler was delivered from Dometic, I plugged it into two different 110 outlets and a 12v outlet and cooler's compressor would not start and I would receive an error 33 on the display. I'm waiting to hear back from Customer Service. I had high hopes for this product and hopefully the issue will be resolved quickly.

This thing works well, but the compressor began to rattle. Because I couldn't provide a receipt Dometic denied to help. Someone wrote a review of his 55 that rattled as well. That is unacceptable when you want to take it off road, but I had only used on road. Time for another brand.
