cfx5 45
+Bought the cfx5 45. Loving it. I had a Norcold about the same size for many years and since Dometic bought Norcold and my unit after 12 years needed to be replaced (electronic issues). I went with this unit. Cools fast and freezes fast. Very Quite as well. If you need one I would highly recommend this unit. I will be using it off grid for the winter and i am quite impressed so far.

Replacement Cooler
My Dometic CFX5 45 is easily the best thing since sliced bread. It was purchased as an upgrade, to a smaller 40 year old Dometic that failed recently. Talk about 'over the top'...this baby will pull a cool -7, or do a steady 50 degrees. It's built like a tank, with a really nice exoframe.

I'm OBSESSED!
I chose the Dometic CFX5 45 because it was the perfect size for my little family. I have little ones and I was exhausted trying to manage and keep our food cold. I've had just about every cooler on the market but when you're spending multiple days in the mountains, an ice cooler isn't practical. Our food would end up wet and soggy and it's beyond frustrating. I've had the cooler now for a few months and it's been a game changer for our family trips. JUST GET IT. you won't regret it.

More efficient than previous generation. Does not need battery protection when plugged in truck while garaged for several days.

I like it but WiFi issue.
I really like the CFX545. I just can't figure out the WiFi. It seems to be no different than Bluetooth if it can't connect to a real WiFi network. It should connect to a local WiFi so even if I'm away from the unit, I can connect with the app through a local router network, other wise it just Bluetooth.

Poor latch
For something this expensive it should be better at latching shut. I have to push down hard to get the latch to work and it still doesn't fully engage. Everything else is great, but it's like they gave up on the last design task.
