Door Security Bar with Alarm

I bought two and they are just great. Sturdy and well made, with a choice of alerts. The alarm or the barking dog. I recommend this security bar.

In these times of civil unrest, this security bar gives real peace of mind; not only for slowing down, if not stopping break-ins, but also notifying in advance of any break-in. We use it every night on our apartment door. It is very sensitive to any movement or vibration caused by someone touching the outside door handle. We live in a neighborhood that has a fire station, so we have become "immune" to sirens, so the "barking dog" feature makes this perfect for us. The only con I have found is that when you turn the alarm system off, it gets activated just just briefly. It would be nicer if it had a 2 or 3 second alarm delay.

It is very sturdy and would definitely slow down or stop an intruder. However, I did find adjusting the settings was a challenge, thus the 4 star rate.

Helps give me a sense of security and peace-of-mind to use on a door which seems particularly vulnerable to potential break-in. Having some difficulty adjusting the sensitivity sensor to trigger the alarm....but nonetheless I'm pleased with the purchase because it is a sturdy wedge against the door.

I had purchased one that had no sound effects a couple of years ago. On this one I like that it had a siren and dog bark sound. Price is somewhat high. Put new batteries in it and they keep losing contact. I only reason I had not sent it back is because I gave it to my niece and she ended up wrapping tape around where the batteries go and still some times it would still lose contact.

It would just randomly go off.

I really cannot rate this Security Bar because I received a Defective Bar and am awaiting for a replacement that I was promised since July 25, 2021. Today, August 12, 2021, I called Collections to find out when I could expect my replacement Security Bar and was told that the girl that took my replacement order did not actually put the order through. I spoke with another customer representative by the name of ""Archie"" who stated that he was going to process my replacement order today and that I should receive my replacement between 7-10 days.
