at first bite something was noticeably different, in a good way. the flavor is more evenly distributed on all the chips versus normally finding just a few chips extremely covered in the ranch. the salt level is definitely toned down. my biggest like is the after taste. its cleaner on the pallet and lingers a little longer. i stopped enjoying ranch doritos but these i can't stop eating.

These taste so much better than the original. The chip is thinner and the texture has an overall more pleasing mouth feel. And since the chip is thinner, you can taste more of the cool ranch flavor versus the old ones. Doritos understood the assignment to do better. These are better!!!

I am a cancer patient %26 chronic kidney disease %26 I am so glad to find food products with no added dyes and as few chemicals as possible; I absolutely love these and the nacho cheese variety also and this is my second purchase of both; They are so Good 👍

Yes!!!! Doritos, listen, do this to ALL your chips! This is what we want! Get all the garbage out of there. These are delicious. Now if only they would use a better oil, they would be really winning. They sell out all the time, so I think the people have spoken.

6 stars for flavor! This is better than the original!! I will definitely be reordering when i get chips! The percentage of chip to space, while normal, shows they treat their customers like chumps. I guess we are. We keep buying. Id much rather these ones tham the original tho! Much rather!

I just tried the new style of Dorito’s - Cool ranch flavor. They were crunchy and tasty as a savory snack. In comparison, the new and standard variety are both crispy but the new variety seemed to be a little thinner and the coating wasn’t overpowering, which is why I don’t care for the regular Dorito’s. I hate getting my hands coated with spice residue. I’m considering trying the puffs next. I’d recommend trying.

I picked up a bag to try. Cool ranch is my husband's favorite chip. I dont eat them a lot. I perfer naco if I get. I really liked the idea of no dyes or artificial flavoring. I personally would not have noticed a difference in a blind taste test. My husband on the other hand said he could and liked the original better. i agreed with him it would have been better with more seasoning on them. Who knows if je would notice if it was a blind taste test. Maybe placebo effect? Regardless he finished the bag in a few days. I only had 3 chips. So they couldn't have been bad lol.

Classic cool ranch flavor... if these were made with nontoxic ingredients--whats the point of keeping the bad 'chem version... Wouldn't retiring, replacing with this version be more cost effective?? I guess we just got option of having the health concerning version... so no one forgets?? This is still a good epic chip tho... healthier..maybe?

I stopped eating doritos and other chips for quite some time now due to their ingredients so I'm happy they have made this. I can comfortably consume these again altho I have to watch my intake before I get too hooked. I put 4 stars instead of 5 in taste because these come very close to the same flavor but not exactly. It's dulled down a bit compared to the original which has that sharp ranchy bite at the end. This just has a consistent note throughout which isn't pronounced but also not any weird aftertaste to it like diet sodas would give you. I think that has to do with it lacking MSG but that is a MASSIVE plus for me because I am sensitive to it. It also might explain why it has less sodium than original. In fact the ingredient list seems different as a whole in a good way. By no means does it even tempt to go back to the original. Plus it's still amazing with a bean dip. I am also really happy about the pricing as I was expecting them to go wild with it and charge about $7 each but I got them at the same price as the original which was amazing. One of the best releases in general this entire year and I certainly will be sticking with the NKD line in the near future because it had been years since I ate Doritos. I hope they have spicy or flamin hot NKD doritos in consideration

I’m so happy that they finally did this. I purchased this one as well as the hot Cheetos and I am so happy with how well it tastes. I knew that the crap that they put in it would not affect the flavor and I was clearly right if anything I think it actually tastes better and I don’t know why I can’t really put my finger on it. Could it be a placebo effect of eating cleaner food? Maybe. Definitely try these out. You will not regret it. I do not miss the junk these used to have!!
