The Absolute Best Oil Drain Pan I've Ever Used!!!
The Dorman Large Drain Pan is spacious, sturdy, and makes oil changes or fluid collection simple with its 24" x 18" x 6.5" capacity. Its durable construction and easy-pour design help keep messes to a minimum and make garage work more efficient.
This is a perfect size and functionality for things like transmission fluid flushes or oil changes. The handle is really helpful to carry it to a local auto store for fluid disposal afterwards. Great value for money.
Sturdy build. Flat enough to fit under a sedan. Love the spout to transfer oil in separate container. Came with extra stopper.
It seemed to drain the oil into the fan just fine. There was some flash in the drain hole that I had to carve out first. Otherwise it was fine out of the box. I do wish it would drain a little quicker, but it did well. Didn't leak any oil from any orifices. It should last a long time as long as you respect it. You should respect all of your tools, no matter what they are. There's no point crying if your abuse your tools and they break.
Had one exactly like it that lasted forever (20 years at least) I had to leave it when i moved. The first thing on this new one, the vent cap holder just broke off. I can tell it is also much thinner plastic as well. They don't even make these as well as they used to. Oh well. Welcome to the new shrink-flation.
DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! the drain hole is too small and it will overflow all over your concrete.
There is something wrong with this pan. The oil doesn't drain from the top of the pan down through the hole fast enough. Draining oil from the car engine, it was going to overflow the "top" portion and run onto the floor. I had to reinsert the oil plug and wait 1/2 hour for the oil to drain down into the container. I had the air vent open and even opened the drain spout to ensure air could escape. It almost defied the laws of physics.
