Simple to assemble and didn't take long at all. We needed a plastic option because my dog was able to get out of the metal crates. This crate is destruction proof, chew proof, etc. My only complaint is that I think it might get a bit hot in there, since it's less ventilated than the wire options. I put a fan on when I need to leave my dog in there. Overall, great item

We had one of these to use with our pups and we're so impressed with the quality that we bought 3 more so nobody has to share unless they want to. With a blanket in each kennel, our dogs often prefer to lay in their own kennels instead of all piled in my bed. Our dogs are not kennel trained pups who have always slept in kennels. They just like them that much. The quality of this kennel far exceeds the kennel the same style and size that's sold at PetSmart for nearly three times the price! Best bang for your buck, and the pups love it!

I have a 12 lb cat that fits comfortably in this with plenty of room to turn around. There are four screws and bolts that hold the top to the bottom, besides the multiple clips in place around it. All together it seems sturdy enough for a cat or small dog. A determined dog could probably chew his way out given enough time though.

I bought the crate to use for my daschund. He herniated a disc in his back and needed a kennel large enough to be confined to for a while. This definitely has done the job. It's super roomy to hold a bed, blanket, his water bowl and his food when he eats. Not having this would have made this entire process really hard. It all happened fast so I'm grateful Walmart had this in stock for same day pick up. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it was missing the hardware to connect the top to the bottom. I had to use the hardware from his old kennel so it would hold. I wasn't able to turn around and go back so I improvised. Otherwise, great buy and great product!

This is a little confusing. I bought this crate to up-size from the one I bought in-store, which recommended 30 to 50 lbs. Since my dog is around 55 lbs, and she does fit in the "smaller" crate, I thought it wise to buy a size bigger. This one listed up to 70 lbs. So the crate arrives and it is the EXACT SAME SIZE as the one I bought in the store. Exact same dimensions as the lower weight recommendation. Well I now have two crates of the same size, no big deal, I've got 3 dogs plus rescues, so I'm sure we'll use them sooner or later.

I bought this because it seals shut two ways. One is for travel and uses screws and a nut. The other is for casual and uses a flip lock which allows for fast and easy removal of the lid. Rather than coax the pet out, simply unclip and lift the lid. HOWEVER.... those flip locks are not very secure. I am not sure I would trust carrying my pet using the handle and only the flip locks. I bought this for a cat. This is good sized and well constructed. The gate door is easy to open and close. All in all a good carrier with exceptions of the fliplock.

It works fine for a quick trip to the vet. It is nice and compact. It seems like the handle could be longer to make carrying more stable. It seemed to throw me off a bit when my cat moved or shifted her weight. Other than that it was fine, good price, sturdy product.

The first one I bought came with nuts and bolts as a safety measure to plastic locking.. First time used I put it on a stable chair and put my cat in it and the next thing I know he worked it off the chair and when it hit the floor it came apart and out came the cat. And the cage was back to 3 pieces again. There are holes for the bolts, but nuts and bolts were not supplied. Highly recommend going back to original packaging like I bought 5 years ago.

I bought this as a replacement for an old one I had that looks exactly the same as the picture, but is made by the partner company, Petmate. There's about a $20 price difference, and I realized why after I received the product. It's a more basic model and does only have one compartment on top (not 2 as pictured). This doesn't really affect the functionality because the compartments are really small anyway (can probably only hold a thin leash). The plastic seems a bit thinner on this crate than the Petmate one, and the other one has some extra features like a seatbelt loop and loops for attaching a carrying strap (though not included). I think this product does its job well but there is an obvious difference in features and overall quality. If you only use a crate occasionally then this should suffice but I liked using my old one whenever I took my puppy in the car so I returned it and will buy the other model.

Not like they used to be. Got it home & started to put it together and the plastic was so flimsy I was afraid it was gonna break. And then when my cat, which isn't a year old yet, was in the carrier, I was afraid the handle was going to come off. So I had to support/carry it w/out the handle bc I was afraid I was gonna drop him. I'll pay more for better quality, you def get what you pay for.
