I bought one of these windows to replace a low quality aluminum window in a shed studio. The studio has 2 windows and I thought I'd try out this option before buying 2. The first window is great. So I purchased a second one. The second one came and I have discovered that the latch doesn't work properly. It was improperly installed and I'm not sure what I will do about it. It is I believe an indication of poor quality control at the vendor. I am not returning the window because it is a hassle and in this case latching is not really required. But if you are considering purchasing this window be aware of quality issues

They sent me a window with a broken latch and the part that is broke off is not even in the box!
