I think they have discontinued this line. I had found the shampoo earlier. Used it for years!
This conditioner is reasonably priced, but sometimes it can be hard to find in local stores. I can usually find it at Walmart online and then pick it up at one of the Walmart stores, if it cannot be shipped. It smells sort of floral - sort of tropical - it is NOT sulfate free, so if you are looking for a color care conditioner of that variety, then this would not be the one. Nonetheless, I have stuck with this one because it keeps my hair smooth and tangle-free.
Never used this before but I will get more than any other. It makes my hair so soft. Also smells great.
Excellant product. Love it.
Smells great and makes my hair soft
Shines and condition nicely
My hair is like straw at the ends from years of coloring so I have tried several products to try to make it manageable. This conditioner was ok, nothing spectacular, no miracle results. It Smelled nice & my hair did seem a bit softer. The gentle formula was nice to be able to use daily.
I have used the Dove Color Care products for years and always been extremely happy with them- until the rollout of the new Conditioner formula. You took a great salon quality product and ruined it. I prefer low scent products and the new formula hits you in the face with an overbearing cloud of scent, that sticks and torments me all day long. My hair is somehow dryer overall and greasier at the end of the day. Loved the old formula, hate the new one, I will be looking for a new color safe conditioner.
Dear Dove, please bring back your old formula! I fell in LOVE with it ... Left my hair gorgeous and healthy. The new formula doesn't condition my hair as well, and I'm not a fan of the scent. I'm still a major Dove advocate and go back and forth between this and the Intensive Repair. But I miss the old color care stuff. It worked great, smelled great, I told everyone about it only to find the new stuff on the shelf a week later. Don't mess with a good thing!
After years of buying this product due to its excellent results for color treated hair, I am no longer a customer of Dove after they changed the ingredients. I would have to say that prior to this change, this product was comparable to expensive salon products and I would have even paid more for this product if that was the reason Dove changed the ingredients. The first time I used their new Color Protect conditioner with different ingredients, I immediately could smell a strong perfume smell which was awful. The next issue is that my hair no longer feels silky smooth and soft. I can already tell that my hair feels dryer. It also feels itchier. I do not know why Dove would take a Gem of a product that they once called "Color Care" and change the name and ingredients to "Color Protect". It would be better for a Company like Dove to have just 10 products on the market that beats the competition than to have 70 products that loses their long term customers to their competitors.
