Down Alternative Pillow, Firm, Standard, 2 Pack, Rest Haven

The Rest Haven Down Alternative Pillow is exactly what I was looking for. It is plush and soft and makes for a wonderful night sleep. The queen size pillow is supportive but has just enough give. The pillow is well-made with strong stitching around the pillow. It arrived vacuum sealed and when I open the package the pillow sprung to life. It is just what I've been looking for. There are no funny smells or lumpy spots. It's uniformly soft from end to end. I am very happy with this plush pillow!

This pillow was the perfect size. It is true to size. I suffer from a neck injury and can't have it tilted up in certain angle. Big pillows usually are very uncomfortable, but the medium pillow was a perfect fit. As soon as I rested my head on the pillow it sunk in. It does not go all the way down but enough to support my head. I would definitely recommend this pillow if you want a comfy plush pillow.

This is my first ever “pillow review” and I am awarding 5 stars to this Rest Haven Down alternative model... I always assumed a pillow was a pillow and purchased the cheapest thing I could find, my mind has been changed after 2 comfortable night's sleep on this model. As a child, I fondly remember sleeping on old down pillows when visiting my grandma's house. I loved the feeling and support, but the dusty smell and constant poking of the feather tips really was annoying. This pillow solves both problems without sacrificing the support and feel of a real down pillow. The materials and construction are top-notch and fresh out of the bag there was absolutely no detectable odor of any kind. I have never had a product shipped from China that didn't have at least a warehouse kind of odor fresh out of the bag. If you are looking to upgrade your sleeping game, this Rest Haven pillow would be an excellent first step.

I wish I had tried the firm. I got the medium which is soft and fluffy but is a little low. It sinks down too far. I chose it because I am a back, side, stomach sleeper and that was who it is recommended for. But when on your back it puts your head a little too far back. I like this pillow though, it is very plush and squeezable. It came vaccume sealed like a memory foam mattress would be. It fluffed right up after removing it from the plastic with just a little fluffing.

This plush down alternative pillow is the softest, most comfy thing! The label says "soft" and it IS - but it goes far beyond that. When I first felt the fabric, I thought, "This is like fluffy whipped frosting or an angel's wings!" We got the pillow for my teenage daughter, and she absolutely loves it. Obviously, it's perfect for sleeping or naps, but it's also great for lounging around - or a cozy place to relax while doing homework on-line. The pillow we got is standard size at 26 inches by 20 inches. The cover is non-removable and made of 100% polyester. The polyester should last over the long-haul and be easy to clean, which is good since the cover can't be taken off. The filler inside the pillow is also 100% polyester. If you do need to remove stains, spot cleaning is the way to go - and because of the polyester, it should air dry quickly. This is not a pillow you can wash and dry in the regular laundry - its softness won't be the same afterwards. For softness, comfort, and incredible comfort - this pillow can't be beat. I may buy another one!

The Rest Haven pillow came in compressed form for shipping. I've attached some photos of the before and after. At first I had my doubts about how plush a pillow that compresses that much could be. But I was wrong. Once opened, and after sitting about 10 mins, the pillow poofed up to it's full loft. It was fun to watch. More importantly though is the comfort of the pillow. This pillow has quite a bit of heft to it and is heavier than it may look. It's ultra soft. But of course you're going to use it in a pillow case to protect it. It's really squishy and does in fact remind me of a down pillow. For those who sleep on their side or stomach, I'm not so sure this pillow will offer the necessary support for a comfortable night sleep. But for those who sleep on their back, the squishy nature of whatever is in it makes it really easy to mold or to make in a comfortable position under the back of the head or neck. And when not being slept on, it plumps right back up to its full loft and looks great in a pillowcase on the bed. If you like down pillows and don't want to use real feathers for whatever reason - allergies or ethics, then this is a great choice.

My Hubby is a stomach sleeping, pillow destroyer! He grinds and reshapes any pillow - cheap or very expensive in a matter of hours. I've tried down, memory foam, all of them, and they still look like strangely shaped eggplants after a couple of nights. NOT this one! I'm happy to say that after days and nights with this pillow it's the same shape and consistency as when it was new. In his picky opinion "Way Better than the others". So I have a pillow that he loves and I don't have to keep trying new pillows and work a miracle to fit it into the pillow case properly.

This is a pretty nice pillow for the cheap price tag! It's super fluffy out of the package! Really thick and fluffy but not that firm, so if you like a more firm pillow I would look elsewhere as I like medium to firm and this isn't firm enough for me! I have been using it for a few though and I do like it but wish it were a little more firm! The problem I find with softer pillows like this is they don't last as long, they lose their fluff quit quickly... This one seems to be holding up pretty decent although it's not nearly as thick as it was when it was new after only a few weeks of use! Still enjoying it though and would feel comfortable recommending it for the cheap price! If it were more expensive I wouldn't be able to do so.

This pillow is a good quality item. It is thick and sturdy. It's soft enough for my head to sink into it yet not get suffocated by it. I like to sleep on my back as well as my sides. This pillow helped support my head in both positions. I would recommend this pillow to someone who was looking for something comfortable to use for sleeping.

Received in box folded in 1/2. Vacuum packed. Laid flat, nice size-happily surprised. Unwrapped, puffed up immediately. Looks well made, stitched with smooth edging. Made in China. Cover not removable. Care instructions tag:100% poly fill, do not wash, spot clean & air dry. The fill is lumpy. When you press down, you go right through it. It's soft and puffs right back up but once you lay head down, sinks right through & sides come up around each side of your head. Even if you bunch it up, same thing happens. Head goes right down to the sheet-very flimsy. Not considered firm at all. Needs more stuffing. No better than any inexpensive pillow on the market. I wouldn't let a guest use it. Not recommended. Now after I tried it, I let my husband try it because he prefers a thinner flat pillow or a pillow he can fold in half. It worked for him but he said it was very lumpy and he put a second pillow on top of it. He even folded it in half and stated not comfortable, still lumpy , he just sinks and agreed after trying it 2 different ways that it is not firm at all. Neither of us were impressed and would not buy it if it was on the market.
