Finally, a product that protects the downspouts and helps keep water flowing even with debris in the gutter. I love the quality of this product- All I had to do is trim the plate with scissors so it fits over the downspout and place into the gutter. This has worked great over the summer with those afternoon heavy rains and thundrestorms. I will clean my gutters again after the leaves fall and I am sure it will keep the water flowing in the winter without clogs.

I am glad i found this since i currently cannot afford gutter grills. Surprised how well it stayed secure with the ease of installing it. The only little "negative" is trimming the frame that holds it in place. i guess i need a better tool.
Seems like in Michigan we should remove these after leaves clear. Ice dam in trough would seem to clog these?
