I really like the Downy Ball because it's super practical and easy to use. You just fill it with fabric softener and toss it into the washer- no need to wait for the rinse cycle. The material feels durable and it stays closed during the wash. I've noticed my clothes come out smelling fresh and evenly softened every time. It also helps avoid wasting product, which is a plus. Overall, it's perfect if you want convenience and great results without extra effort.
The downy ball has a simple and practical design that makes adding fabric softener much easier during laundry. It's lightweight, easy to use and releases the softener at the right time leaving clothes smelling fresh and feeling soft. The value is great since it's reusable, durable and saves time without needing a machine dispenser. I also like the compact packing with clear instructions.
Awesome, I don't have to time it to run and catch the load of wash on rinse, because I usually miss it and have to run another rinse cycle. This saves me the hassle.
I really don't like dryer sheets so I purchased this to use.I had.one I used for years and it finally broke I use vinegar, it works great on towels. and there is NO odor when dry.
Does a decent job of distributing the fabric softener. Isn't too hard to clean out when the gunk builds up. There is a sense of relief knowing that you don't have to run to catch the last spin cycle on your wash. 😆
This works really well! I was at a loss when I discovered my washer didn't accept fabric softener, but Downy came to the rescue! It's so easy to fill the ball, pull the little tab, and drop it in! The product seeps out through the tiny holes and works its magic. I give it a 4/5 because there is usually a bit of product left at the bottom of the ball and I do wish it could use all of it! Even so, great addition to my routine!
I've used the Downy Ball for years and it worked great in my older washing machines. It was an easy, no-brainer way to automatically dispense fabric softener at the right time, and I never had issues with residue or missed cycles. With my current machine, it's not really necessary since it already has a built-in dispenser that does the job well. That said, the Downy Ball is still a solid product—especially for machines without a softener compartment or for anyone using an older washer. Simple, affordable, and reliable for what it's designed to do.
Thus product was not delivered at my front door! I had to search for my delivery!
ON 3 THRD USE WENT TO CLOSE THE BALL AFTER PUTTING FABRIC SOFTENER IN IT AND THE CLOSE RONG PULLED OUT OF THE RBBER STOPPER DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
I used this once so far. It only popped open to release some of softener. Bummed, big time.
