My husband doesn’t always want his work pants smelling like flowers, also with one child having asthma and one with very sensitive skin this checks all the boxes. We tried Ultra Downy free and gentle. Same softness to our laundry without the added fragrance and no skin irritation.

Hypo-allergenic fabric conditioner doing all the things I love the best when doing laundry....having soft clothes without the fear of harsh chemicals getting in the way and affecting my children's gentle skin. I love this!

My husband and I both have skin allergies and have to use free and clear detergents to wash our laundry. I would like to use fabric softener, but unfortunately haven’t been able to find a free and clear one until this. Most softeners are heavily perfumed, making them possible allergens. This was not. It was scentless and didn’t have any dyes. It made the laundry very soft and helped with the wrinkles. I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to anyone with skin/allergy issues.

Also the clothes and blankets smell very fresh not perfumy. I think she has slept better with the blankets I washed with Downy Free and Gentle! It also has fabric protect which is a bonus since I am constantly washing baby clothes over and over. I will be using this in all my laundry for now on. I absolutely love this stuff!

What is most important is that the product is free of dyes and perfumes which can be a concern for many. Most of the products out there today contains significant amounts of perfumes and dyes which may ruin clothes and for those who are sensitive, perfumes can be irritating. Moreover, it claims to be dermatologist tested so what more can you ask for? I have been using this product to wash my delicate clothing and white colored shirts which has served me very well. I love it so much I've been bragging about it to my parents and family members so they would also give it a try. Overall, great product and definitely would purchase again.

I definitely was skeptical because clean smelling clothes make my clothes feel cleaner in my mind, as strange as that sounds. Everyone knows that my daughter has very sensitive skin and Downy Fabric Softener has No dyes and no perfumes. It is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested—perfect for my daughter with sensitive skin and eczema. I was hesitant to try it but I'm glad I did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit; I've never tried any laundry product without scent because for some reason, I always thought that if there wasn't a fresh scent once it was washed, it wasn't clean (which of course is nonsense but it's just the way I automatically thought). However, after using Downy Free and Gentle Liquid Fabric Conditioner, I realize that this is not the case at all. Downy Free and Gentle may be unscented but it still does the same job of keeping my clothes soft with the same great conditioning protection that Downy products are known for. I have already recommended this Downy to my mother because she has bad allergies and I think she will realize that with no dyes and perfumes, she will prefer this product compared to other product that she has been using for the last decade and has been having reactions to.
