I use this once a week before shampooing and it does a great job removing buildup and soothing my scalp. My hair feels cleaner, lighter, and less oily afterward. The smell is nice and it doesn't leave my scalp dry or irritated. A little goes a long way, so the tube lasts a while.
I am obsessed with how clean this makes my scalp feel and even helps my skin. I use it 2-3 times monthly and have also got it for my mom who is battling hair loss and brittleness due to pancreatic cancer. We both love it!
So easy to apply! The long thin nozzle makes it easy to get to the scalp, and I didn't even really need to section my hair. It doesn't take long for the soothing, tingling sensation to kick in. Feels like a scalp massage! My roots feel fresh and rejuvenated.
My scalp gets super dry with the Midwest winters. To the point I get really bad dandruff from the flakes - super embarrassing. This scalp detox is amazing. After a few uses the dryness was almost completely eliminated. I've tried many other products before and none compared to the results of this. Definitely recommend!
I received this product free from bzzzagent I'm return for an honest review. I used this product for 2 weeks so far. I wash my hair once a week and use the tip applicator directly against my scalp. I rub it in and leave it for 10 minutes.. wash and condition as normal and my scalp feels great! I had flaking In some areas and its stopped it all! I'm losing a little hair in my hairline so I'm hoping this will help with that as well.. I'll update in a few months when I know for sure but so far I am in love with this product. The ACV Exfoliating detox is definitely something I'd recommend to my clients at the salon!
I have to say I was a bit skeptical about this product when I first heard about it, I didn't want to walk around with my hair smelling like apple cider vinegar but that was definitely not the case. It left my scalp feeling clean and refreshed. I don't know if anyone remembers the television ads for peppermint patties ("like a cool breeze blowing through my hair") but that is what it felt like, I really liked it. It also does a great job with product build up. My hair feels so much better after using it!! It is a great product!
Using tip of tube, apply directly on dry hair. Rub into scalp. Leave on for no longer than 10 minutes. Shampoo and condition as usual. I used about a third of the product in one application. Left on for ten minutes and washed my hair like I normally would. This tingled a bit when applied and while processing. It was like a minty feeling tingle. I didn't notice any scent while applying or processing. As a curly girl, I use product on my hair often, wash my hair twice a week with a cowash as needed and a thorough cleanse about every two weeks. This made my scalp feel clean without feeling stripped. I've only used once and will finish the tube over the next month. I will consider purchasing in the future.
So the first time I tried this product, I followed the instructions, the bottle says to leave on your scalp for about 8 to 12 minutes. I decided to leave it on for only six minutes and I washed and conditioned my hair after I was done cleaning my hair I noticed It left a minty feeling but the next day I noticed that my scalp felt really sore. So I'm not sure if maybe the product is just too strong for my scalp.
I've been parting my dry hair in sections and applying this on my scalp 1-2x weekly for the past 2 weeks. While it feels really nice on my scalp, and washes out well, I'm not sure how much of a difference it has made in my overall scalp health. My hair feels just as clean when I get out of the shower after using this as when I double shampoo and condition. All that to say, I'm going to continue using it to see if I notice any improvement over the long term. I don't recommend against this product, per se, but I also can't unequivocally recommend it without hesitation at this time.
First, I will say this product got my hair very clean and it didn't feel irritated after using the way that I was concerned it would. But I would likely never buy this due to the very unpleasant user experience, regardless of the positive results. The smell is intensely menthol. It actually made me nauseous and reminded me of cigarettes. I left it on for the minimum 8 minutes and by minute 6, I was dying to wash it off. The menthol increasingly made my scalp burn. I don't know what the purpose of menthol is, but if it's simply there to make me feel like the product is "working" then I'd gladly choose an alternative.
