[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product clumps well. But I belive the litter tracks a bit to much,Great and fast shipping I wasnt expecting it soo soon. Fantastic pricing
WOW! After using another brand for many years I tried this, and will never buy the other brand again. After 6 weeks of use by 1 cat there is almost no dust on the inside of her large covered litterbox. It is fragrance free, but absolutely no odor because of the extremely efficient clumping.
This litter is great. We inherited 2 cats and one of them would not use the litter box. I tried multiple brands with no success. Then I read online that this litter works for litter training and stubborn cats. I was skeptical but thought I would give it a try. The cat liked this and we have had no problems since switching. It is a bit messier so I put a rubber litter catcher rug under the box and it helps. Also It is not as good at eliminating orders as some so I use arm
we have a cat we took in who used to be mainly outdoors. he has always used the litter box, but it was obvious he preferred dirt, as he would cry at the screen door. i even brought dirt into the patio a few times and he would wait to use the bathroom in that rather than use the indoor litter box. then i switched to this based on a recommendation and he went straight to it and has not cried for the dirt since.
My cats loveee Dr Elsey’s Litter! They were going outside the litter box and I didn’t know why! Turns out they don’t like the strong good smelling litter, they like To smell their own scent. This litter isn’t tracked throughout the house, and other ones I like are Cat Attract and Low Tracking. I’m never using any other litter!
This almost 80 year old grandma sometimes takes care of my daughter and grandkids cats when they are away. Dr. Elsey's litter makes scooping so much easier that I buy it for them. Everyone thinks it is the best litter and I don't "do litter boxes" without this brand.
Best cat litter ever. Makes owning a cat a joy again. Clumps very well for easy clearing, controls odor, and last bags are a bit heavy 40 lbs but they offer smaller sizes.
We've been buying "name brand" litter for years, but have gotten quite tired of litter being tracking from the box out into the rest of the house. We came across this brand when researching "low tracking litter" and decided to try it. I have to say that this really is low tracking and we love it. Also low dust so I don't have the smell of litter in my nostrils for hours. It clumps great as well. Did have a concern as I was filling the litter box, "something" fell out of the second bag we purchased. It was concerning, the item seemed brittle. I sent an email to the Manufacturer and they responded immediately, turned out to just be a piece of clay. Between the noted features and excellent customer service from Dr. Elsey's, we are more than satisfied with this product.
Warning: long content but if you care about your cat and their litter’s quality please hang on!!! I’m trying new litter types for my cat, a pickier when it comes to his litter. I tried different brands and type for about 3 months, and I’m thinking stick with dr. Elsey cause of the few reason (compare with other brands of clay litter): - low tracking - no scent - clump nicely - seems to be low dust - doesn’t stick to my cat nails (this is crucial bc I’ve known a friend’s cat got infection due to litter stuck underneath the nail) I originally picked up the 20lb box from my local Walmart which I felt satisfied and decided to get the 40lb bag for long term use. The bag came in earlier this morning so I fill up my cat litter box after cleaning. Luckily, I have some left over from the old box and realized sth is not right. Pardon for my litter box up close, but as clearly can be seen the two piles of litter from SAME brand, type (Ultra with blue color package) , ONLY different in the package size are TOTALLY different. - the bluer, lighter colored pile is from the 20lb box, which has larger size clay and less dusty - the darker, grayish colored pile is from the 40lb bag came in earlier today and the clay is finer and way dustier. Just from opening the bag that I got a handful of dust on my hand —> this make the brand no difference with other brands!!!!! Now I purchased the 20lbs box about 3 months ago with bunch of other brands to try out, so may be within the time range the company change their litter style?!! Maybe? Or maybe I’m opening the upside down of the bag where I got the finer clay while I should open the other end?!! I know this is Walmart and I’m not sure if anyone from the company would read this, but I’ll just take my chance and make my comment here and anywhere dr elsey let me comment cause I need an answer.
Worst cat litter I ever bought!! When my cat pees in it, the litter turns into super-sticky wet clay that is nearly impossible to scoop out, and I have a strong metal scooper! Sticks to the box really bad and to the scooper! Will never buy this garbage again!!! I cant believe others are saying its easy to scoop! Also, it sticks to his paws like crazy and he tracks it on the carpet and then probably has to lick the rest off his paws!! Thats NOT GOOD!!
