the dr kildare series and the follow up dr gillesp
One of MGMs best series with 9 Lew Ayres films as Dr Kildare %2615 total with Lionel Barrymoe as Dr Gillespie with a great cast of returning characters. It ranks with The Thin Man %26 the Andy Hardy films as of the greatest series of the pre war period.

It had been a while since I've seen these but these are just as I remembered them being. It reminded of watching movies on older tvs somehow..though the picture is great.

Fair Warning : This "set" is made up of only the movies in the series with "Dr. Kildare" in the title of the movie., skipping of course the 1st film "INTERNES CAN'T TAKE MONEY" (1937) as well as the handful of films with Dr. Kildare with or without Dr. Gillespie.
