I use these to keep pantry moths out of my rice and similar staples. Although the manufacturer recommends changing the traps every three months or so, I install the traps and after about a month I mark each trapped moth with a marking pen. Once I am no longer trapping new moths I will replace the trap. This brand has worked well for me and I recommend them. Note that these only work on pantry moths. Clothes moths that eat holes in your woolens are a different species and the pheromone attractant for the pantry moths does not work on the clothes moths.
Pantry moths are so yuck. I easily assembled the cardboard wrapped and the moths began flying into it and getting stuck. Easy to use; no residue on my hands. Absolutely no odor.
easy and safe to use...long lasting
I've used Dr. Killigan's pantry moth traps before and they are the best! I got the blue ones this time (same as the black) but to put these around the food in my garage. I keep my whole grains and birdseed out there and found some moths around them. The moths quickly flock to the traps. They're amazing.
I had moths that feed on food I had in my cabinets. I put these traps out and the number of moths cut down at least 95% (just a guess). there were only one or two flying around. The traps would get them too, but sometimes I did target practice with a spray bottle of 1 part rubbing alcohol and 3 parts water. I only did this sometimes when I got bored.
Works amazing
These are the only moth traps I have found that attract moths. I know these are for pantry moths, but I use them in other parts of the house and they attract clothes moths as well.
Just opening the packet draws the moths. Be prepared the sight of so many moths that gets stuck. have more packets on hand to replace the full ones until all are gone.
Caught a couple. I've tried 3 brands. In order best to worst: Catchmaster, Black Flag, then Dr. Killigan's. These cost the most, so not a good deal.
Have had these traps out for a month and they have not caught a single pantry moth, of which I have plenty. Total waste of money.
