I've tried plenty of natural soaps, but the Wood Barrel Bourbon bar from Dr. Squatch is on a different level. Here's why it's staying in my daily rotation: The Scent: It's a perfect balance of aged oak and subtle spice. It smells masculine and premium without being as overwhelming as a cheap body spray. The Scrub: This bar has a Medium Grit (using sand and corn), which provides a solid exfoliation. It's great for getting rid of dead skin and grime without feeling like sandpaper. The Feel: Unlike mass-market detergent bars, this leaves my skin feeling hydrated and clean rather than dry and tight. You can tell the ingredients (like shea butter and olive oil) are high quality. Small Tip: This is a natural bar, so it will dissolve faster if left in water. Make sure to use a soap saver or a well-draining rack to get the most life out of it.
My husband absolutely loves this soap and this scent is a repeat buy for us, it lathers well the price point is reasonable. And I love that it's cleaner ingredients. My husband has extremely sensitive skin as well and it does not irritate his skin at all!
My dad (who hates to bathe) would probably never do so without this soap. It's gentle on his older skin and smells good. Yes, it's pricey and doesn't last as long as traditional commercial soaps, but if it gets my dad into the tub, I'll continue to dish out the money to buy it.
Dr. Squatch Bourbon Barrel bar soap is a win. The scent is warm and manly, like a mix of oak, vanilla, and a little smoke without being overpowering. The bar lathers really well, rinses clean, and doesn't leave skin feeling dried out like cheaper soaps. It also lasts longer than I expected.
It's undeniably pricey, but it's also the best soap. I bought this for my son who gets rashes from ordinary soap and ended up buying a bunch for myself. I'm hooked.
This is hands down one of my favorite soaps and I have purchased it multiple times. The smell is the best but what I like about Dr Squatch is the soap that includes the grit. It works great %26 lathers nicely. Thanks!
Smells really good!!..lathers up good!!..it does dry skin out a lil..and needs to be rectangular shape like regular bar of soap...easier to hold...but smells Great!!!
My husband found this product and absolutely loves it. After use his skin feels so soft and smooth. He loves the scent which is very different from what he's used to.
When I picked it on website it said $4.00 and when my purchase was was being placed the value went up to $7.00 and change? I think they should honor the price on website.
This was unfortunately the only soap I've ever used that made my skin feel so dry that it was tight. My skin almost seemed to have a reaction to it, so it just does not work for my skin, but hey, everyone's skin is different.
