Dr. Talbot's Maximum Strength Baby Diaper Rash Ointment for Infants, 4 oz

Nice and potent 40% zinc but too greasy for my liking. Greasy as in too much petroleum jelly it in. The label doesn't tell you how much is in it beforehand so there's no way to know the percentage before guying.

This is good for preventing heat rash. It doesn't smell like fish or rose petals. It is not runny. It may have a very faint mint type smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing diaper rash ointment, the packaging is perfect for having in your changing table or to take it with you in your diaper bag. Although it has a big zinc oxide content (40%) it doesnt let my baby skin feeling dry, the Peruvian balsam really gets the job done. I find this max strength ointment perfect for bedtime, because its when the wet diapers may be prolonged, or when baby skin is getting red, just to prevent, but it also treats diaper rash.

I squeeze it out of the tube on a wipe and then add it to his area and then use the tip of my fingers to rub it in a bit because the paste can get messy

It wasn't getting better with our regular ointment. I started using this at every diaper change and within a day I could tell a noticeable difference. This stays on well between changes. They provided a good barrier and did not cause further irritation. I will definitely keep using this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically use diaper rash spray during the day for quicker changes and spreadable cream right before baby's bed time since he's been sleeping longer stretches. What I loved: cream is odorless, and worked well. Baby's skin looked great in the morning. What could be better: the cream is very very thick. This made it so it didn't spread as well and fast. Not a problem if baby is content but sometimes he wants the diaper change to be done asap 😅.

The Dr. Talbots cream didn't have a reaction and was nice and thick to cover her rash. It's a nice size for her diaper bag and lasted a while even between diaper changes. It's not super wet so it dried fast and didn't smear off. I'd definitely recommend this.

This was a poor product and I would not recommend it. I've used store brand diaper rash creams/ointments and Desitin, so that's the baseline of my comparison. The reason I rate this so poorly is because it's extremely difficult to get the ointment out of the package. It's like you need to bang on it with a sledgehammer to get it out. I called Dr. Talbot's to voice my frustration, and the return %26 refund process is inconvenient and burdensome. Don't try and save a few dollars, go with another brand.
