Dreamworks Animated - Puss in Boots [BLU-RAY]

Puss in Boots was introduced in Shrek 2, but isn't given the animated bona fides of his own film until 2011. In his own element, the sword wielding feline rises to another level and that bump is accompanied by animation direction a more bold and entertaining that the generally more mundane by the book approach of the character's cinematic origin. The story, itself, is an origin story woven into one of betrayal and redemption, all set within the familiar world of fairy tales. Antonio Banderas shines as the voice of Puss and is accompanied with the same relished fun as Selma Hayek, as Kitty Softpaws, a rival and romantic interest for the debonaire cat. Puss in Boots is a worthy spin off from Shrek, and as it and its eventual sequel, The Last Wish, one that rises above its origin in story and in animation. A definite film for anyone who is a fan of Shrek and animation in general. On a release note, this is the perfect combination of physical media with the high definition blu-ray release with a digital copy at Movies Anywhere. You can love the film at home, and then take it anywhere you go with a download or internet connection.
