Dislikes: The toy was a bit expensive. It should've came with a mini screw driver. It was advertised (on videos, not package); having a charging stand. The box did not come with one. Likes: I got ir for my 7 yr old nephew %26 he put it together himself, charged it %26 started playing with it right away.
This thing is very cheaply constructed and not worth the high price. Basically it's a foam glider with flapping wings that you can't steer. Within 8 hours of my 7 year old having this, it was pretty much broken. A gust of wind had this land in a pond, shockingly it did work again once it dried out. A few hours and many crash landings later, the neck started to snap off. Currently, his head is being held on by gorilla glue. We may get a few more flights out of it tomorrow but that'll probably be it. Get ready for a few minutes of fun followed by lots of tears and disappointment when it crashes or breaks.
Disappointed in product although grandson liked it don't see it lasting long . The dragon itself is all foam and the wings attach with clips that you insert into track to attach and push a clamp in middle of wings to keep the thin vinyl type wings tight constantly comes unsnapped. To get the dragon to even fly you have to throw it straight up in air and it will fly about a foot and take a nose dive wings do flap great on the ground like a lizard! For the cost of this birthday gift was extremely disappointed. Not worth the money.
So my child loves How to Train your Dragon and all things Toothless and she loves this toy. The reason I gave this toy a 3 is because its made from foam and the tail already started to rip/brake. I had to super glue it back together. And that was only after she had it for 2 weeks. For the price it should have been made of stronger material.
Very disappointed in the overall quality of this toy for the price. The first one we purchased arrived broken and the replacement lasted only a couple weeks before falling apart. The look and concept are great but definitely need to do something about the quality especially at that price!
We've had this toy for 24 hours. My daughter got about 10 minutes out of it before one of the crash landings broke one of the plastic wings and foam wings. Most of the toy is made of foam and something breaks each time it lands. We tried gorilla glue and that didn't work. The angle of the dragon's head makes him crash downward. My daughter is 7 years old and played with it appropriately. It's a good idea, but doesn't hold up. Would NOT recommend.
Total disappointment. The idea is adorable, but like most Spin Master toys, the quality just isn't there. The dragon is made of flimsy foam and doesn't fly in any stable direction — it just spins out of control and crashes constantly. Every fall causes pieces to break, and it didn't even last through one play session before it was unusable. We even tried a second one and had the exact same problem. For almost $40, this is an absolute waste. It was my daughter's birthday gift, so this turned out to be a huge letdown.
This was a Christmas present for a nine year old boy. He opened it Christmas morning and found it broken in the box. It is obvious that someone attempted to repair it because it has glue or tape residue on the broken part. The repair didn't work so it was returned and then resold. DO BETTER WALMART!
You are better off making a paper airplane and gluing a little man to the top if it . It would actually fly instead of either falling to the ground after it's given a "little help" or it flails around in a slight circle if it's on concrete with the help of the flapping wings . Oh, that part actually works . Forget about the 14 minute charge "life" written on the box, you won't even get 14 seconds . Before you think I'm just a lunatic that doesn't know what I'm talking about or not launching it correctly , save yourself some time and take a pic of how it's packed before you take all of the pieces out , because when you return it to the store , you will know how to repack it . Thoughts of just throwing it all in there and letting them sort it out will not be in your favor at the counter . Remember , this thing is $39.99 plus tax and you would love to get your money back without the huffing and eye rolling of the associate at the store .
Cool idea. Except that it's made of styrofoam! We got to take it out for a grand total of 3 times before toothless had his last rough landing (which happens relatively frequently when learning how to land a toy with essentially only an on-off switch) and was completely beheaded. Really disappointed! I would not recommend for any child.
