[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DREMEL TOOL FOR SOME YEARS NOW ❣️ Exceptionally well made. Much thought was put into this design. Size: This is something I've been needing FOREVER❣️ PlUSB to C devices are set up for this easy connection everywhere: Home, Studio, Truck. Weight: Wonderful Petite hands can handle this with Ease. No effort to hold safely & effectively. Dremel recommends not to block Vents. I use a modified Pen Grasp toward the neck of lighted drum. LED: Welcome addition! I am enlarging a pearl's hole. ✨It is not Illuminated✨. The area around it is. Still, love it. This nose cap is VERY Well designed despite lack of pin point illumination. Power: Indicator shows 2/3 just after spending 10-15 minutes (in short spurts) on a tiny Raku Stoneware Lid - power 25. It did warm up. A day later, working on Pearls for 5 minutes, down to 1/3 Power (1st battery indicator) After removing Sculpting material on Pot, power 20,for 5 minutes - 1st Battery indicator is Flashing. The tool does not stop abruptly, it slows down & down. Lovely. Brushless is the way to go... Protecting your hearing is of utmost importance. What a Joy to turn this on & just work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool powerful motor with variable speed makes it perfect for working with steel and making useful tools. Used it to put the finishing touches on a custom deep socket for installing and removing the axle lock indicator on a 1990 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pickup. I'm sure the socket would work on any 4x4 with a similar setup. I plan to use it for making more custom tools.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dremel 8150 8v Rotary Tool has got to be my favorite of all my Dremel rotary tools. The cordless 8V power is incredible. One of it's many attributes that I like the best is that it charges via an included USB cord. How great is that! I keep it in my computer desk and, whenever it needs charging, it's an easy connect-to-charge task. The 8150 8V also has "crazy"power, and the rotary speed, from 3,500 rpm to 30,000 RPM, controlled by the Variable Speed Dial, is easily adjusted to accommodate the use of various different accessories and for different tasks. Also loaded into this amazing tool is a built in work light in the nose cap. Turn the tool "on" and the light comes on. Turn the tool "off" and the light goes off. The brightness of the light is even adjustable. The battery charge indicator LED's are located just above the on/off switch and the pleasant blue lights of the indicator easily informs the user to the status of the power level remaining. Ergonomically speaking, the 8150 is perfectly balanced in my hand, no matter if I grip it in my palm or hold it like a pencil. Included in the box was an assortment of various sanding drums, cutting wheels, and cutting/grinding tools. Of all the various Dremel rotary tools, this is my favorite.
I purchased another so I am Always ready to go. This is quiet + powerful when you need. Beautifully made - Dremel considered everything we want & need in a tool. From drilling pearls to adjusting glazed pottery - the 8150 Rocks ❣️ Lighting is a welcome addition. Purchased small cosmetic/travel bags to organize & protect.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works like a dream; I'm working on our dining table to add turquoise pieces into the top. This is perfect for this project, it smooths out the rough edges beautifully. I like the compactness of the tool to get into smaller grooves
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just used my Dremel 8150 for the first time. I have to say I am impressed. I own many Dremel models that I use daily. I do repairs on ATV's, SXS's, Lawn Mowers, etc. This tool is a great size for one handed operation. I was able to cut, sand and polish easily with one hand. The power of the unit was fantastic with no slowdown under pressure. The LED lights were nice and bright. I expected the battery to run down somewhat during my first repair use as I used it for multiple tasks on the repair. The battery still showed full when I was done. I was a little worried about power when I saw it was 8 volts, but that did not matter. It felt incredibly strong. This is definitely my new go to for everyday use. I highly recommend this tool. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I've used Dremel for a while, and its nice to have not only a cordless model, but one i can easily recharge if needed! Out of the box it seemed a bit confusing, but once i got it out and fiddled with it, i was the best tool i currently have, especially with the flashlight head?! No brainer. Best Dremel they've made so far!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall Im satisfied with the Dremel although for my personal uses I feel the led light at the end is a bit gimmicky. When Im using my Dremel I tend to already be in a well lit area so the light at the end doesn't do much for me. I also found that if you tighten the collet fully the led connectors don't line up properly and the led doesn't come on. Since I don't plan on need the led light it's actually a benefit for me to slightly over tighten it so it doesn't come on and waste any battery when using. The variable speed dial wasn't at first desirable but after messing with it while sanding and etching I found it to be pretty useful vs just full/hi speed 24:7 how I usually use my Dremel. While the variable dial is nice I wish it was placed higher where you could adjust it easier while using it. Similar to the 0-5-10 speed style selector Dremel's. If you are looking for a new, upgraded or first rotary tool this Dremel is a good choice.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really like the tool, but it seems to over heat and shut down to frequently.I used it to cut a bolt and it didn't like it. Maybe I asked too much from the tool. On to the good. It is heavy enough to make it easy to control, battery life seems to be about an hour, and takes 30-45 min. to recharge. I can it getting used a lot in my shop for smaller jobs.
It broke already
