Compact & Versatile Multi-Tool

Barry April 8, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It feels like the perfect tool for a wide variety of detailed jobs – particularly jobs that are in difficult-to-access areas. I've actually been putting off a few projects because I didn't have a compact tool like this, so my to-do list has gotten a bit longer already. This tool feels substantial in the hand, and has a build quality that similar rechargeable tools don't always have. Blade/accessory changes are easy, and don't require an additional tool. The accessories are held firmly in place, and feel very secure. The angled body gives you more space to grip the tool in situations where you need to make a flush cut, and otherwise would struggle to make the cut. Everything you need to get started is included in the box: two blades, some sanding sheets and the "hook and loop" pad to secure the sanding sheets. The charger works well; the tool charges quickly, and the battery charge indicator light is very visible and easy to read. I actually have a wall heater I need to install in the bathroom, but it's located in a tight spot under a permanently-mounted mirror, so this tool is going to be perfect for cutting the drywall to do the installation. Recently, I got a 3D printer, and am interested to see whether this tool will be useful in cleaning up and sanding larger assembled parts. Sometimes the geometry of a piece is difficult to access – where even a palm sander is too bulky – so this might be exactly what's needed. I've been a Dremel user for many years, and this tool is going to fit nicely into a gap in my tool assortment.

Handy dandy tool

Kevin C March 13, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Battery-operated tool. this think came in very handy while i was redoing some doors at my house. it made it very easy to change from sanding the doors to scraping paint from the door jamb. with the top nob it is easy to change out the different tool heads. Having it battery operated made it a lot easier to change angles and move around the door without having to worry about the wire.

High quality product

Andrew March 11, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the quality of the product. The LED screen is one of my favorite features. I haven't played around with all the settings yet but the speed trigger is very responsive and I like how you can lock it to keep it on. It is a bigger product then competition but I won't be using it in small spaces.

Little Dynamo

JFREDI March 19, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is fabulous, but I believe I have more to offer in a review. So far all I have done is a little bit of sanding. The Vue is great in its compact size allowed me to complete this difficult task with ease. Having the cordless design makes for even less difficulty in such a small space. Needles to say the Dremel Vue has already shone through. However, I have a large grout replacement job in the bathroom to do and I believe it has arrived just in time to illuminate my world further! Great cordless oscillating tool

Juan March 31, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a Multi-Max MM50, and the Blueprint feels much lighter in comparison, making it easier to handle and manipulate. The way the accessories attach is different and feels faster. Plus, you can’t overtighten them. Being able to select the speed range makes it easier to perform the task you need. Swapping batteries with my Dremel 8250 is also a major pro. Having used the MM50 for quite some time, it takes a while to get used to the trigger switch—I’m still trying to get the hang of it. The LED light is a great addition. Overall, it's a great tool for tasks where a corded tool would be cumbersome.

Blueprint MM12V oscillating tool

Bill D March 14, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tool does many things that can't be done with rotary tools. It comes with accessories, including battery and charger. Battery and charger are identical to the battery and charger for the 8240 Rotary tool. Neat feature is selection of one of five speeds, thereby selecting the best speed for the job. Builtin LED lights up the work area very well and being an LED should last for the life of the tool. Safety lock prevents accidental triggering of the tool. Using the general purpose cutter on thick corrugated cardboard worked well, making straight and clean cuts (I use corrugated cardboard for a variety of purposes). Used the same cutter on a piece of 1x2 pine - cut through clean and swift. Used sanding accessory on a 1x2 pine and it worked well. Used sander on small carpenters square as it was corroded - cleaned up well. Battery difficult to remove when new - note on the sides of the battery are lines - hold lines and push on the sides of the battery it will release. The more the tool is used the easier the removal from the tool. Battery charging is swift. I am happy to add this tool to my DIY arsenal.

Fits in your hand well

Corey March 28, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon first viewing the tool, it looked bulky and looked like it would feel awkward, but upon installing the battery and using the tool to be able to write the review I was very surprised as to how well it felt in my hand. Tool was easy to control when trying to cut a precise line on a door jam. Tool was easy to handle when sanding as well. Definitely better than other brands I’ve used in the past.

Good tool, but could use improvement

Jflo March 9, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Dremel Blueprint 12V Oscillating Multitool as part of the Dremel VUE program in exchange for my honest review. After putting it to the test, I can say it’s a solid, well-built tool with great versatility. It handles cutting, sanding, and trimming with ease, and the variable speed control allows for precise adjustments depending on the material. It’s also medium weight and comfortable to use, which is a plus. That said, I do have a couple of concerns. The biggest issue is the battery—it is extremely difficult to remove for charging. It takes much more force than it should, which is frustrating when you need a quick swap in the middle of a project. Additionally, while the tool performs well, I wish it had just a bit more power for tougher materials. Overall, the Dremel Blueprint Multitool is a good addition to any DIYer’s collection, but the battery removal issue needs improvement. If Dremel addresses this, it would be a five-star tool!

Nice, lightweight tool to use.

Laurie March 25, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light enough that even with arthritis I can handle the multi tool. I watched the video on use, and as recommended, tried it out on a scrap to get used to how the tool handles. Read the instructions, they are pretty easy to follow. Battery charged quickly and was easy to snap into place. I've only used it to sand so far, but it appears to sand evenly, no squiggles left behind. The tool has a medium loud buzz, I would suggest using hearing protection. It's not near as loud as my palm sander though. The speed of the tool is controlled by how hard one presses on the "on" button. I would rather have had a dial to control the speed. That took some getting the hang of since it's easiest to just hold the button in all the way. Switching out attachments is easy. As I use the tool, if possible, I'lll add to this review, but so far, it's a nice addition to my workbench...

Compact easy to use

Daffy March 8, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is reay great. I have the older mx40 and this much easier to change blades and ligher. I did notice some older dremmel blades don't fit. But new blades fit well. I was able to cut and sand my project with one charge. Thr charge time was quick. It would help if the charger had an indicator on what charged looks like and to check battery status you need to turn on the tool. Having the trigger look is great to keep from turning it in while setting the blade and speed.
