Dremel Electric Rotary Tool Workstation Drill Press

Love this tool. Works really well well. The projects it can do is endless.

I bought this for my crafting business. It was a wish list item that I finally worked up to and, wow, did this deliver! It easily converts to a side-mounted buffing tool and drills holes that are perfect every time. I can't wait to see the other things that I can use it for! This is such a time-saving, quality addition to my tool collection. I'm so glad I purchased this!

Perfect tool for my needs works great

I bought a work station a couple of months ago and have been quite pleased with it. This handy item has helped complete many of my projects. It was a reasonable price and it works great. I do have a couple of questions. On the crows nest there are two slots, one opposite the other. In your picture of the work station I see what appears to be some kind of holder with some drill bits in it that fits in the larger of the 2 slots. That particular item was not included with my work station so how so I acquire one? And what is the smaller slot for?

This is a great little drill press and it comes in very hand in my model ship building. I have had a Dreme Rotter y Tool for a lot of years now and it would be hard to work with ought it. A number of years my son gave me Powerbuilt Tool kit. It will also fit in my new 220 Drill press. My only problem is I bought a Dremel various drill chuck and it seams that I do need an adapter for it. It is kind of a pain moving my Dremel back and forth, can you supply me with one

I can't really complain about the cheap feeling fabrication of the product, after all it was cheap. I've had no problems so far using it as a drill press, a hanger for the flex shaft, or as a hat rack. I don't see it lasting a long time though, as another reviewer put it: "too much plastic". The nut that holds the tool itself in place is way too soft a polymer to last, and the depth gauge feels like it might break if I look at it too hard. All in all though, it works well. The base is heavy enough for light duty without bolting it down and so long as everything is tightened well it stays true. If the two crucial pieces I mentioned were made of stouter stuff, I'd have given it 5 stars.

Seems decent enough but assembly instructions are a lesson on how not to write assembly instructions. They are the worst assembly instructions I've ever encountered.

I have been a huge fan of Dremel, but I really have mixed feelings about the Workstation 220. It is specified that it can be used with a Rotary tool 4200. The cutouts for controls in the holding cup are not diametrically opposite (they are 90 deg apart) and hence once the tool is in position, I can only access one side of the quick change, thus making it useless. Of course I can cut out an access hole but I do not expect to make these kind of modifications when it can be helped. My rating is based on it use with Dremel 4200. If I was using a tool with a regular collet, I would had rated it higher.

systematically breaks all my drill bits, does not go straight. trying to drill aluminium with .8mm drill bits (cobalt, hss, i tried many) and you can see that as soon as there is a bit of effort, the simple force on the lever sligthly tilts the holder; if you are bit down the hole, effort will de-center de drillbit and it will eventually snap... not enough rigidity on the device despite a good idea.

Missing parts. Now some very rare wood is going to be wasted. I chose one star. No less available, or I'd give it a black hole. Reconciliation should be in order. Only fair.
