[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the 220 grit abrasive brush to restore the look of a vintage level wind bait casting reel. Using the abrasive brush in my 8220 at 10,000 RPM, I was able to completely clean the body and every nook and cranny on the reel. I was quite happy with the results and the performance of this abrasive brush.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This detail abrasive brush is 220 grit, and is meant for detail cleaning and light sanding. This one in particular is excellent at cleaning off coins I recovered while metal detecting. It practically polishes them without damaging them. Check out the Mississippi tax token! I can't wait to implement it with my upcoming woodworking project. I do think that that package should have more useful information like max speed. Make sure you do some research so you know if this is the right accessory for you.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to clean and sand off the old paint from a antique fan that I received to restore as a project. These little disc are impressive. It also has the EZ lock which I really like. One does not have to use the screwdriver to take them off.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a custom knife maker I use many types of martial to reach different looks for my knives and handles I produce to sell and keep for personal use. I stared with the abrasive brush 36 grit, 120grit, and finished with 220 grit. All three grits preformed excellently to reach the desirable look I wanting on the project I completed. By use of brush's I sanded out each grove of the antler I used for knife handle. They produced the proper color I desired. Size of the brushes makes everything so easy friendly to use. I used the metal cutting disk to make leather stamping tool and the abrasive brushes to help me smooth the tool and reach the design I desired to put on the leather sheath. By using the Dremel buffing pads I fished the tool perfectly. I want to thank Dremel Co. to allow me to review your products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These sanding wheels are great. I like the different grits because i already sand through them on my other projects, so I'm glad to do it on my tiny projects with ease consistency. So simple to use with the EZ Lock mandrel, making sanding fly by. Would definitely recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] EZ Lock Detail Abrasive Brush with 220 grit delivered a smooth sanding experience and an excellent finish. Using the EZ Lock system, it was easy to assemble and change out the brushes as I worked through the sanding process. Best results were achieved with a light touch, allowing the brush to do the work for me. I had the opportunity to test three brushes (36 grit, 120 grit and 220 grit) and found all of them to do an excellent job of sanding and smoothing. It was easy to use the brushes and I got excellent results with all of them. A suggestion to Dremel would be to identify the materials these brushes are designed for. I assumed they were to be used for wood applications, but there is nothing on the packaging to tell the user whether they are for wood, metal, plastics, etc.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These wheels from the appearance look as if they wouldn't clean anything. They work exceptionally well at cleaning small items where a large sander wouldn't fit. They clean off paint off slowly so if you are trying not to go crazy on the metal they are perfect. I use them to clean smaller motorcycle parts like brackets or aluminum parts where it's hard to reach. They last for a reasonable amount of stripping especially if you don't push very hard, let the wheel do the work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the EZ473SA Abrasive Brush to be a great product. As with the 36 grit EZ471SA product, the word "detail" should be removed from the description since these 1 inch brushes don't really meet the criteria for detail work. I found this 120 grit brush to adequately smooth the roughness left on my project after using the 36 grit brush. As with the other abrasive brushes, I would recommend speeds lower than 15000 rpm when using them due to vibration issues. Perhaps other users haven't had problems with vibration but I felt 15000 was much too fast to operate this sanding brush. All in all, I find that this brush, as with the 36 grit brush, is an excellent product. I might add, however, that it would be great if somehow Dremel could stamp the grit on the product. Color-coding is fine for some, but I personally don't like to look at a chart to see what color I need to attach to my mandrel to use the proper grit. And a color chart is worthless if one is color blind.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great, love how fast it is, to switch out the tips on these things. They work great on things where it's hard to reach In the corner. I really like how long they lasted. I'd say it's a good investment
I used this product to remove old paint from the fine details of an antique buffet. It did remove hue paint but in less then three minutes it was worn down to nothing and only covered a small area.
