Dremel

Perfect way to work on projects at different angles. Allows you to work without holding the motor and hassling the weight. This is required for my dremel from now on.

This is very nice. Added to a battery powered Dremel 8240 is still has plenty of power. Lucky for me it came as a 'package deal' from Walmart with this flex-attachment and the Dremel --- stupid cheap! (I wish I had bought more at that price). Anyway, it is a good product.

I had the old flex tool, you needed three hands and a clamp to change out the bit. I got my new one yesterday (I finally threw the old one in the recycle bin, it made me so angry). It is like a new light has been cast into my home, and the air is fresher and I walk with a new sense of pridel

The Dremel flex shaft is really a must have accessory (at a great price I might add) for anyone who owns a compatible model Dremel rotary tool. This will save your hand and wrist during extended use of the Dremel. It also allows for MUCH better precision in carving, engraving, and etching. Do not bend the flex shaft at too much of an angle though because that can cause it to overheat and melt. (I've done it and had to buy another.) Dremel has excellent customer service... You really can't go wrong with this product. It is has a comfortable grip (not too big for a small hand). I use this regularly and love it!!

Overall the unit works well. There is some power loss due to the fact of all the contact throughout the shaft. A bit noisy. Follow the instructions before first use. ( I hung mine from an arm and let it run )

I bought this at the same time I bought my Dremel 8000 1 Cordless Rotary Tool. And I LOVE it!!! It comes in soooooo handy for detail work or simply when you just don't feel like holding the whole rotary tool in your hand if you have a lot of work to do at one time. I just use an old tripod from an old broken camera, made a hook for the top & I can hang my Dremel any place I'm working & have the freedom to have a much smaller diameter tool in my hand. I keep my flex shaft right in my carry case so its always with me where ever I need to work at. Its an invaluable accessory!!! :-)

Dremel obviously changed something within the manufacturing of either the flex shaft or the Dremel Chuck 4486?? I've used these together for years. Bought new flex shaft and tried 3 brand new Dremel Chuck 4486s and none of them screw on properly into the flex shaft. Also, the collet nuts are now made of PLASTIC. Shame on you, Dremel.
