Works great, once I got how to use it.
It is a nifty ideaa when it works, but not as easy as if should be
Throwing mine away. Simply doesn't work. After many attempts to use, pushing thread through small slit, I would finally get a loop but it never went through the eye of the needle. And the thread would just fray. Don't know how you justify selling this product. Been trusting Dritz since I was a child.
If I could give this zero stars I would. Yes, the mechanism will grab the thread and push it through to the hole on the other side of the "funnel". The funnel either isn't long enough for the eye to be in the proper position for the mechanism to go through the eye. I tried several different needles using both sides with the same result. This is probably one of the worse craft investments I've ever made that doesn't at least have one positive. This is a total waste of $3.00
I have tried using this so many times: used different size needles, tried both slots, even found online tutorials. I have successfully threaded a needle one time with this, out of approximately 50 tries. The thread comes out the other side like it's supposed to, but isn't threaded through the needle!
Bought this thinking how much easier sewing by hand would be (since I have such a hard time threading the needle), ONLY to find out it does nothing but pull the thread through everything EXCEPT the needle! What a big let down. It is absolutely worthless! To bad there isn't an option to rate this PIECE O'Crahhhp/extremely poor quality/does not work/do not waste your money!
I just purchased six of these as gifts for my needlework friends and they are a piece of junk. I have tried several times to get it to work and nothing, not even close and the store will not let me return them.
I was only able to thread ONE needle successfully with this piece of trash. A small piece of wire pushes the thread through the hole, you pull the needle out of where you're supposed to drop it in for the eye to line up, and voila... nothing! On my last attempt the piece of wire that's supposed to push the needle through the eye bent and it's now totally unusable. Looks like it's back to using the "old fashioned" threaders or trying to gauge it by sight. Lord knows I'll have better luck trying it those ways.
I bought this thinking that the task of threading a needle would be less frustrating as needle hole and thread are getting progressively more frustrating with age. " A fool is quickly parted with his money" Directions were simple, product was a waste of the material and time it took to manufacture and package. No needle would not fit in the small eye funnel. The large eye funnel would accept the needle but the little plunger wire bent immediately and bent back to come out the wrong hole.
I cannot get the thing to work never buy this again
