I love Wrangler cargo pants... been wearing them for years. However, the pockets on the legs come with Velcro -- which we all know wears out. Velcro is nice, but just doesn't last. Rather than go through all the trouble of trying to remove the existing Velcro and sewing on replacements (which will also wear out), I bought these snaps because they are decently large -- and strong. I used an ice pick to poke a hole right in the center of the existing Velcro squares on both the pocket and the flap, then placed these snaps through the holes, placed the anvil on the bottom, and hammered them down. Bam!... fixed! They hold snug -- just the way I want. No danger of losing my wallet now. I knocked 1 star off the Color because I wanted a Bronze color -- which apparently they don't offer -- but the Gold color will do. Wife says it looks like they were made on there by the manufacturer. I knocked 1 star off the price because they are a little pricier than some of the others and they give you 7 pieces (SEVEN) instead of rounding it up to 8 or down to 6. I used 2 on each pocket and there are 2 pockets on each pair of pants. That's a total of 4 snaps. So I have 3 sets of snaps left. That means I'll have to buy another package of SEVEN in order to do another pair of pants, needing only 1 more snap out of that package. Oh well... I still think they're worth it! I have confidence I won't lose valuable items out of my pockets!
I was really pleased with this product. I used a leather hole punch and along with the tool these were really easy to install. They look really professional as well in my opinion!
I purchased this snap kit to use on a leather cloak as part of my daughter's Halloween costume. The kit was easy to use and worked perfectly for my needs.
Cheaper than Amazon and get the punch too, but I recommend using the hand plier tool.
had to flx the husbands shoret and theas came in handy. only needed one but will save the rest for later. price was okay.
Cheaper other places I didn't realize
The instructions were not clear enough for me. I figured it out but there are four different pieces included and two are needed for each snap (top gold part and the smaller gold part it snaps onto) so it took actually pressing them together on their own to determine if I had it configured correctly before I was comfortable adding to to my project. The project I used it for was a tote bag so the bag can stay closed. The snaps are really hard to pull apart and I'm worried that unless I am very careful, the fabric tote bag might rip apart as I try to pry them open. They look good though and they do hold the bag closed. But I wish they were more like the button snaps on pants that are easier to snap on and off.
I received the package just fine. everything is less it should be. I have not had a chance to use the product however.
easy to use, but 2 of the 3 I used were so tight, I tore the fabric trying to unsnap. They dont fit correctly
Couldn't even use them, they bent every time i tried.
