Drive 5" LM EX GPS Navigator

This is our second Garmin…so we like the product. Thank you Walnut for delivering it 3 days earlier than the original estimated date.

I bought Garmin GPS, I looked at different ones and chose this one because of the reviews from others. I had a Garmin before for years and the battery finally quit. I like it better than other GPS systems, easy to use .

I received the item- looks in good condition. I havent used it yet- but im sure it will work. Post office didnt deliver on time as promised but that is not the sellers fault - thank you to whomever the seller is. i needed this item for a while now. Thank you - Jewish woman of g-d

I have used Garmin products for years. This does the job, but is not as good as past models. There are sounds I would like to turn off, but can't figure out how. I don't need a chime every time the speed limit changes or each time I go above it by 1 mph.

Works fine. Screen image is not sharp but dull, suggesting it is either very old or refurbed. Came new0 in a plain white box...again suggesting that they kept the insides but put it in a new plastic covering and shipped it in a generic box. Garmin updated it so it is ok. Am keeping but would not buy again only because screen is so old...

I like it is smaller and gives me frame to hold (the big-screen one without frame is too sensitive, though it has better view and resolution). The price is reasonable and free delivery. The resolution of screen could be better while I found the screen touch menu is more responsible and reliable than the expensive one.

i bought the magellan roadmate first. it gave me incorrect locations for my destinations. so i bought this garmin. it has more features (like places of interest to look up). it has alerts and you can pick which alerts you want. you can program multiple destinations instead of one at a time. you can change your car icon (i picked the monster truck). the biggest problem is the garmin gives me really weird ways to get places. right now i'm practicing with it near home, and it gives me roundabout ways to get to places. i go the way i always go, and it will recalculate and the arrival time will be several minutes shorter! i haven't been able to take it on the highway yet. i might return it if the highway use is not friendly. one thing i would change is to add a feature where i can add in construction detours that the maps update doesn't include. my partner says at least i get to the places i need, but i'm unsure i would recommend someone else to buy this kind, but i'm still hesitant to return another gps.

I bought this Garmin Drive 5 inch because of price. The software used to establish a destination begins with a query for street address, not city and state......In short, trying to use the "Address" box is nothing short of futile. While on a trip, I ended up using my old Magellan gps to get there. This is undoubtedly the most worthless search criteria I have ever seen in a gps!!

Only needed a GPS for one time to drive 7 hours to see my dad, so I decided to give this one a try as it was cheaper than most. I wasn't expecting much and like I said I only needed it for one time so I assumed it would be fine but when I loaded up the map it literally gave me a 9 hour route and when I tried to edit the route so that it would be the 7 hour drive the GPS would constantly freeze so I would have to restart the GPS over again. I'm just extremely frustrated and ready to give up. Thinking about just trying to use my phone even though I'll lose service throughout different towns. I'd only recommend if you expect to take routes that are extra long or that have tolls as I noticed if the route has tolls they also prefer to take you down there even if its 20 minutes out of your way.

Placed and received the Garmin Drive 5" LM EX GPS Navigator and so far no problem with the equipment. Ordered for the Garmin protection plan with a promise to receive the Protection Plan, for which I paid an extra $10.00 in a separate mailing. After waiting 3 months after receiving GPS , I have not received the Promised Protection Plan. Beware of paying EXTRA for a so-called Protection Plan here.
