We purchased this for my elderly father to help prevent pressure sores. It has worked well. it is easy to assemble, and I like the fact that if it were to get a leak that I can not repair with the provided patch, I can just purchase a new air mattress without having to buy the electric air pump as well.

Makes a hospital bed more comfortable
The air pad firmness makes the soft foam hospital bed mattress much more comfortable and still allows for complete adjustments of the bed. My husband is bedridden and was starting to get pressure ulcers (bed sores). This air pad has helped tremendously!

Med Aire Alternationg Pressure Pump and pad
At the suggestion of the physical therapist this pad was purchased for a ninety-four year old and it appears to be working very well. I seems to be alternating pressure on different body parts as they sleep, helping to prevent irritated or broken areas on the skin.

Sleep assist.
I use it every night. It has helped me with my sleep. I must admit it took a few nights for me to get used to the pump noise.
