Drive Medical Seat Lift Chair Overbed Table, Left Side Table

This was easy to assemble and set up under the recliner. It has been the perfect solution for a laptop or meal trays for my spouse who is recovering from hip surgery. It raises and lowers and pivots 270 degrees to completely clear the lift chair arm rests such that it doesn't interfere with chair function. It can be pivoted across one's lap (clearing the arm rests) or pivot all the way around under the left elbow (this model is left oriented). Perfect for our needs.

wow what a blessing this table is for people who like to sit in their easy chair and have what they need at their fingertips...this was bought for a 90-yr old man who still lives by his self and is still does his own thing... it even helps him when he gets up out his chair for a place to gain more support while standing from his sitting position...this table has been a game changer...now you do have to assemble it but if you are a handy person you shouldn't struggle to much...and this was the best price for the table after shopping around and it was fast shipping and it was well packed with no missing hardware or parts....overall we are very pleased...

This is just what my husband needed to eat in his lift chair. Very pleased with it. Wish I'd gotten it a long time ago. Carole Cantrell

It works very good for what we need. It's very strong and durable.

Sometimes it's difficult to push the lever to have it go up or down. I can't do it from my lift chair but have to stand up %26 either push down while using lever or pull up. One day I won't be able to do that so then what? I live alone.

I am using this table with a rocker recliner and the chair arm width might not be the best for the table, but I have the base of the table anchored under another piece of furniture for safety so it works fine. Since the table top rotates a full 360 degrees I am able to turn the table top and use it for my lap top computer without any problems. A work of CAUTION - in the assembly instructions you are instructed to remove a screw which releases the hydraulic pressure on the table upright. When you do this DO NOT be standing above the upright. The release of the hydraulic will cause the upright to shoot up and it would cause serious injury - even knock someone out if they are hit by it.

Table works as advertized, very thick steel base, Nothing will dent this thing, I thought my heavy couch frame might dent it a bit, but its as strong as I hoped it would be. Table doesn't have a lot of functionality, does not tilt, sometimes need to jiggle it a bit to raise or lower the table, but it functions as shown. Table size is great, plenty of room, all materials made to last. If it had a bit smoother lower/raise function I would give it 5 stars.

We ordered left, but the right side arrived, even though the box was marked as left side. We decided to try it on the right. The steel wrapped around the vertical post is called a "magazine rack". I wish it wasn't there, because it prevent the table from getting too close to the chair, and also blocks access when using a Hoyer lift. The table lower mechanism (a plastic piece) is also a little clumsy to use. And as others have noted, the directions are not very clear. However, for those who want a chair table to use with a lift chair, it does work. This isn't a great design, but I haven't seen anything better.

THE ONLY DOWNSIDE A FIRST THRU WALMART , LAMINATE TOP OF THE TRAY ONE END HAS 4/5 CHIPS STARTING THE OTHER END HAS A 1/2 INCH BUBBLE CRACK ON THE CORNER , STILL DWELLING ABOUT A RETURN AS THE TABLE HAS 40lb PLUS WEIGHT TO HANDLE, MAYBE JUST EXCHANGE THE LAMINATED TABLE TOP.
