Drueke Wooden Checkers

Needed checkers for a game table but didn't want to spend $20! These were $9 (approximately) and are nice wood checkers.

Held on to a checker board I had since I was. kid. It was great to use after all these years as the original checkers had been long gone. They are of good quality. A nice presentation box to keep them in would have been nice.

Fourth set I've purchased. Always nice quality. Well made. Even color wood and stain.

There is no branding on the checkers or box to indicate they are made by Drueke. The color and finish of the wood are nice, but can use a couple more coats or varnish. One light colored piece is a knot, so darker than the others. Good thing you get extra pieces for each color. The checkers are made to stack but are loose. They are light weight, which may not feel high quality to some people. I think it is fine for a casual game of checkers and at least they look classy.

Too small. Not worth the money at all.... if it came with the checker board it would be worth it but it does not come with one.

From the description and photos online, plus the higher price, I expected a high-quality product. Instead, a very, very lightweight, small box arrived. The entire set weighs nearly nothing. I am so disappointed. I was expecting something that gave a true value and was a set of checkers that gave a retro quality product, being "wood." Instead, I'm pretty sure these weigh less than a set of plastic checkers.
