I also bought a gun cleaning stand and this fits perfectly under the stand and guns while cleaning to catch any drips, etc.

To start with I wasn't sure when I ordered this if it would be large enough. I ordered the small size drymate gun cleaning pad which is 16” X 20”. I plan on using it for my pistols. All the pieces of a full-size frame pistol fit perfectly on this. Not too large, not too small, just right. I don't have a dedicated place where I can work on my handguns, so I use the kitchen room table in our small house. Previously I've just put down an old towel to protect the table. I have had cleaning fluids soak through the towel and damage the finish of the table. The rubber backing on this I'm sure we'll do a fine job of protecting the table. The only downfall to this is the creases where it was folded in eighths for packaging and shipment, so it doesn't lay flat at first. I'm sure the creases will go away with time, as I will not fold it again. I may even soak it in hot water and then lay it out flat to dry. It is odd that they recommend rolling it for storage, yet they package and ship it folded. This complaint is likely just due to my OCD but we all have our crosses to bear.

Just what I needed, a new gun cleaning pad. I gave my older one to my son for him to use while cleaning his guns. He loves it's awesome absorbency, as he's always spilling his cleaning fluids! Yes we're recommending this cleaning pad for your enjoyment .

Must have if you have fire arms. I was able to clean my shot gun and my hand guns. Keeps all the parts together and doesn't roll away. Provides excellent surface to do the job right. I didn't have any spills, but rest assured if I did it would be contained. Definitely recommended for an enthusiast or gifting to someone who owns firearms.

Item is priced right, under $ 12.00 and a large size, thought it would be a little thicker, however at this price you can buy two to one of the other guy's! Will keep what your cleaning off the table or rug.

I like this drymate cleaning oad, i use it for more than just gun cleaning which is great. I haven't spilled anything on it and i don't plan to. It does what its designed to do and thats protect what you are working on. When i am not using it for gun cleaning i use it while i'm working with my dremel to aid in clean up.

Nice soft mat helps to protect your firearms from un needed scratches. Has a rubber backing to prevent the mat from slipping during firearm cleaning. This rubber backing also helps in the event of a spill from your cleaning and lubricating solutions. Fits nicely on a TV tray covering the entire surface so your partner won't get mad if you do make a spill.

Not much padding on a cleaning "pad". It's comparable in price to an actual pad from a gun manufacturer, so this is a let down. It is large, cheap, and I believe in its ability to stop leaks, so it's far from a wasted purchase. But "premium" is a stretch. And it's so thin I don't know it expects to protect surfaces from physical damage. Want the equivalent of reusable plastic wrap? This is perfect for you.
