I like the product, the faux wood design fits nicely in position, a little light on weight would like something more ceramic to hold heat, but the appearance is acceptable. The only Dig i have on it, is the gas tubing needs baffles in it. The air rush through the tube is a little noisy. The heat output is good in a 40x40 great room. Assembly was easy, needed some fittings from hw store. No lava rock, no glowing ember effect. A little noisy but excellent price point and meets the need of not wasting heat up the flue.

The unit did not properly work. It had a loud hissing sound and the flame caused a smell that my HVAC person told me was unsafe. The sound and smell caused me headaches. I called Walmart who told me to call Factory Buy Direct. Factory Buy Direct did not ma kj e the return easy. I calked Walmart back abd they sent me a return label. Here is the problem, I paid $146.00 to have the unit installed and $146.00 to disconnect it to send it back. Now neither Walmart ot Factory Buy Direct are willing to refund me my cost after receiving a defective unit. I sent the unit back but I am out $292.00. If this is not resolved I will never buy from Walmart again because they should force Factory Buy Direct to reimburse me.

Purchased to replace my original that didn't have a thermostat. The product looked great, but thermostat on this unit did not function properly. The unit turned on with the pilot lighting, ran til it hit ideal temp then turned off as it should. After that the unit would not light again. Not when the temperature dropped below the set temp, not when the remote was used, nor when toggle to on via the wired thermostat. Contacted seller, they blamed the gas supply and stopped replying after their first response. I contacted my gas company to come check the gas supply and they said everything was working fine that it had to be an internal issue in the unit. Duluth never responded to the update from the gas company, Ultimately returned the item for a refund as a replacement was not offered.

2nd one I've ordered neither worked. Stay away from Duluth Forge! Complete Trash
