The flavor of this particular filling is like no other, the caramel gives it such a rich and decadent flavor. I am so thankful that I can receive this product through Walmart.
I love this item i was going to use fresh apples but got lazy and decided on these. Wow so handy just mixed them in no one realized they were from a can. I will be using them often.
also bought Duncan Hines yellow cake mix and made what is called "dump cake" so yummy! I'll take a picture next time with receipt!
I used to get the the apple pie filling for my apple dessert but I tried the Carmel apple one and it tasted so much better. Yummy!
There wasn't much Caramel flavor in this; other than that, it was a great-tasting apple pie filling. I plan to use it again on a cheesecake.
Too Sweet! I suggest sticking to the apple or apple cinnamon pie filling. The caramel apple filling just doesn't taste right.
I wanted to like this but the small portion of the can I used to make an individual dessert had hard bits of apple skin, core, and I even picked out a full stem. I'm glad I hadn't put it into an actual pie shell to serve to guests. I have also contacted Duncan Hines directly.
I must have received a bad product. The apples had a fermented, rotten flavor and were complete mush. There was no caramel to speak of, just a gelatinous clear-brown sauce. Had to trash the pie. Don't buy these if you're expecting consistent / good quality. Honestly the Great Value brand is way better even without the “caramel”.
Very mushy, it tastes nothing like an apple in general, people in the nursing home could eat this and they won't have a problem. It tastes vaguely sweet, but absolutely nothing like carmel. If you want some apple pie filling, either make your own or get a generic can. It also has a weird aftertaste, still, its nothing like an apple or carmel. I'd give it a zero if I could, but unfortunately I'll have to give it a one.
It tasted terrible. I wish I could return it but I opened one can out of the three I purchased. Leave the apple pie filling with just apples, the added Carmel sounds good, but it is not!
