This lemon cake is just as good as it's sister strawberry cake. Lite, soft gentle flavor and I bake it like I would banana bread in a loaf pan. I recommend the alternative ingredients they suggest on the back of the box because they make the cake even fluffier and cuts down on calories. I highly recommend.

This package made 36 mini cupcakes and, although I do not have a beater and used a whisk for stirring, the cake mix was fluffy. The finished cupcakes, after following the recommended baking time, are wonderfully fluffy with and light lemon flavor.

The cake came out delicious and moist, loved that there were variations suggested like swapping vegetable oil for yogurt. We served it at a party and it was a hit!

Duncan Hines has given in to ShrinkFlation like just about everyone else, but this mix does help save a little time at Easter, when there is so much else to do. I have made lemon Easter basket cupcakes since the 1960s, and have always preferred Duncan Hines over Betty Crocker. I use freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice instead of water though, and milk or pineapple juice instead of water with their other mixes.

There's NO taste of real lemon and very dry. Highly recommend adding another large egg or only duck eggs. Texture would be much better using duck eggs. Also, add 1-2 Tablespoons of real lemon juice. Seriously, this product is not great. Adjustment are a MUST.

Don't know why, but these cake mixes seem to have cha ged in many ways. Less in box, smaller cakes, less flavorful, different consistency... I've started just baking more from scratch.

Used this to make cupcakes, and they taste terrible! There's hardly any flavor, and the texture is dry and chewy. I triple checked, and it isn't expired (expiration 06/2025), I added the correct ingredients in the correct amounts, and I followed the mixing directions exactly (suggested speeds and and times), so it's not user error. And even if the texture could be explained by overmixing, how is it not even sweet? The sugar is in the mix! I'm very disappointed. If this was a bad batch or something, I'd love to hear from Duncan Hines, because I've never had a boxed cake mix turn out this badly.

I ordered pineapple supreme cake mix and as a replacement chose the regular pineapple cake mix. I already purchased the other items for a pineapple upside down cake. If it wasn't available it should have just been refunded. messed up my dessert for thanksgiving

This cake mix had a weird smell and tasted old! Very disappointed especially seeing as though I've baked lemon cake ( this brand ) several times. I checked the date on the box and it said 8/23/26!
