It is a very thin gauge sheet metal. It is kind of loose at the joints, so be prepared to use some duct tape to make an airtight seal. It does cut down on the space needed for the hose.

Quality of this product is soooo bad. Sharp edges are everywhere. Different pieces of this vent doesnt match each other. It just felt a part when I opened the box.
